The next item is the statement by the Vice-President of the Commission / High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy on the situation in Venezuela following the removal of Maduro and the need to ensure a peaceful transition to democracy (2026/2564(RSP)).

Madam President, passenger rights are to be strengthened rather than restricted, like other human rights, and I am therefore shocked that Member States, including Slovakia, are still insisting that they want to limit them. We don't have to pay to sit next to our own child. That's total nonsense. That is why I would also like to call on Minister Rosa, but also on Prime Minister Fico, from this place, to finally stand on the side of the citizens, on the side of the passengers, and to oppose the position of the majority in the Council, in order to help protect human rights.
