Madam President, passenger rights are to be strengthened rather than restricted, like other human rights, and I am therefore shocked that Member States, including Slovakia, are still insisting that they want to limit them. We don't have to pay to sit next to our own child. That's total nonsense. That is why I would also like to call on Minister Rosa, but also on Prime Minister Fico, from this place, to finally stand on the side of the citizens, on the side of the passengers, and to oppose the position of the majority in the Council, in order to help protect human rights.
The minutes of this sitting will be submitted to Parliament for approval tomorrow at the beginning of the afternoon sitting. Negotiation is over.
The next sitting will take place tomorrow, Tuesday 20 January at 9 a.m. The agenda has been published and is available on the European Parliament’s website.
