The next item is the debate on the report by Carlo Fidanza, on behalf of the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development, on options to ensure a sustainable future for the EU livestock sector, given the need to ensure food security and resilience of farmers and the challenges posed by animal diseases (2025/2053(INI)) (A10-0088/2026).

I have received from the Council its position at first reading on the following three files: plants obtained by certain new genomic techniques, production and marketing of forest reproductive material and use of railway infrastructure capacity in the single European railway area. I have also received the reasons that led to their adoption and the positions and positions of the Commission. The full titles of the files will be published in the minutes of today's sitting. The three-month period available to Parliament to adopt its positions will start tomorrow 1 May.
