Madam President, I'm sorry. Europe is facing an energy crisis. Energy prices have risen dramatically and supply has become uncertain. As a result, businesses go bankrupt and citizens face brutal utility bills. The Commission's response so far has gone backwards. As a result of the sanctions, contrary to the Commission's promises, the European economy has weakened and inflation has skyrocketed. The rise in gas and electricity prices in the summer has been viewed inactively by the Commission, and its new proposals will not solve the crisis. The price restriction of imported natural gas is another sanction that would further reduce the already scarce supply of natural gas, which is a completely absurd idea on the threshold of the heating period. In the debate, the President of the Commission proposed to European families struggling with unaffordable energy bills to send their bills to Moscow to be paid by them. Due to the backfired sanctions, the ensuing inflation and the Commission's inaction, Europeans will send their utility bills to Brussels to be paid by you.

Madam President, I'm sorry. Dear colleagues, First, allow me a comment on the intervention of the representative of the Greens. In Hungary, the Hungarian parties belonging to the socialists and democrats, the Hungarian parties belonging to the liberals and the Hungarian parties belonging to the greens have for years been in close political and electoral alliance with an anti-Semitic and bacon Nazi party, Jobbik. So if you object to working with extremist political forces, you should first sweep your own house. Ladies and Gentlemen, We Hungarians, as sons of a nation under German and Soviet occupation, know exactly what it is like to fight against aggression for independence. As a Hungarian child of a Holocaust survivor, I know exactly what the inhumane destruction of war is like. We're all on the side of the attacker. When the sanctions were adopted in early summer, the European Commission promised that the sanctions would bring Russia to its knees. They promised that the sanctions would be cut to meat for Russia, not for the people of Europe. They promised that the sanctions would bring an end to the war. Well, we are still not seeing the end of the war, but the energy bills of the European people have skyrocketed. Meanwhile, Russia has been earning unprecedented revenues from rising energy prices. Since the sanctions were imposed, inflation has been on the move, Europeans have become poorer and Russia richer. Europe is at risk of crisis and energy shortages. Madam President, this is not what the Commission promised when it introduced sanctions.

Dear Madam President, For many years, the European Parliament has been a house of political accusations against some Member States that have been cheated on by the rule of law. This is the place where these political lies are formulated. For years, we have found that the European left, and more recently also the People's Party, has been accusing and blaming certain Member States for alleged abuses committed against EU funds. Here, then, is the opportunity to look at how the EU institutions manage the money of European taxpayers in the context of protecting the financial interests of the European Union. In 2020, we see that, according to a report by the European Court of Auditors, the amount of irregular and incorrectly used funds exceeded EUR 4 billion. The protection of the European Union's financial interests is primarily the responsibility of the EU institutions. (The Chair withdrew the floor from the speaker)

Dear Madam President, The war in Ukraine is causing terrible human tragedies. We Hungarians want the bloodshed to end immediately, and we Hungarians are doing everything we can to help those fleeing the war. The Hungarians moved as one person to help, and in recent weeks we have already taken in almost 600,000 refugees and delivered huge supplies of aid to Ukraine. This is the truth, even if, as part of petty political trolling, many deliberately omit Hungary from the list of countries hosting refugees. Dear colleagues, Although we Hungarians cannot accept it, we are slowly accustomed to the fact that Brussels has been deliberately trying to harm Hungary for years for political and ideological reasons. This was the political strategy of the left, and the Brussels bureaucrats joined the left in this campaign. On Sunday, Hungarian citizens voted in the parliamentary elections. This leftist policy has failed miserably. We've never had more authority than we do now. We won a historic majority in the election. In Hungary, Christian democratic politics, conservative, civic politics and patriotic politics have won. The Hungarians did not express an opinion in favour of Brussels in the elections and in the referendum on child protection. The Brussels bureaucrats therefore attacked Hungary immediately after the elections and yesterday announced the opening of a new procedure. Another process, with war raging in our neighbourhood and the unity of Europe above all else. Now, even in this situation, it is worth calling things by their names. The new procedure against Hungary announced yesterday has nothing to do with the rule of law, what they are doing is a net political punishment. Member States such as Poland and Hungary must be starved financially, the left blared, and Brussels announced yesterday that it would launch this long-demanded starvation procedure, because that is the exact name of this procedure: the starvation process. However, Brussels must also accept the basic rules of democracy and not meet the needs of the Hungarian left, which has just been defeated. It should not incite political warfare against Hungary, but should return to common sense and common-sense dialogue.

Dear Mr President, Some comments on what you have said. First of all, it is time to stop using double standards and political blackmail. Double standards and political blackmail are disrespectful, unfair, illegal and seriously destroying European values. On the other hand, it is not and should not be a political question, especially not an ideological one. Moreover, the pursuit of ideological exclusivity, represented by the slogan of liberal democracy, is contrary to fundamental European values. Thirdly, it is not because you read in the dark and wash little that you become green. It is not an ideological question, but a technological one, which form of energy supply is green and sustainable. Without nuclear energy, it is impossible to achieve ambitious climate targets. And last but not least, we protect the external borders. You don't have to let everyone in. There is no way to put pressure on others to make the same mistakes with the mass admission of illegal migrants.

Madam President, I'm sorry. What the European Commission says about delaying the approval of the Hungarian recovery and resilience plan is a blatant lie. Contrary to the untrue claims, there is no question of a technical dispute between the Commission and the Hungarian Government, which is why the signing of the agreement would be delayed. The Commission and the Hungarian Government reached full agreement on all aspects of the Hungarian plan months ago. As a result of the agreement, a visit by the President of the Commission to Budapest to sign the agreement was already organised. Following the agreement on the Hungarian plan, the political hysteria of the Child Protection Act began, and because of the ideological and political attacks on the Child Protection Act, the Commission has pulled the handbrake and abused its power to blackmail Hungary by withholding recovery funds. So what the European Commission is saying is a net lie, what it is doing is an outright blackmail, a net political banditry.

Mr. President, please. For years, Europe has been at war with the flow of illegal migration and pro-immigration forces supporting illegal migration. Europe is only protected by the Member States in this fight. Brussels' bureaucracy is more likely to be helpless and frivolous, or worse, to attack the EU's external borders and the Member States that protect millions of Europeans. Meanwhile, it is becoming clearer than ever that the European asylum and migration system is failing. There is an urgent need for EU legislation to put an end to illegal border crossings and massive abuses of asylum. And the Commission must help the Member States that protect the borders by exerting their strength, as they wish. The Commission's proposals so far go in the opposite direction: They have everything in them that they don't need, but they don't have anything in them that they need for border protection. Europe can only remain a continent of peace and security if it protects its citizens from the threat of illegal migration.

Dear Mr President, The European Commission failed in its initial response to the coronavirus outbreak and failed to procure vaccines. The Commission is unlawfully withholding the recovery funds due to Hungarians and Poles, thereby deliberately harming the two countries. Brussels is funding virtually everything that increases migration pressure. The only thing he doesn't give money for is the physical protection of the border. We are not only protecting ourselves, but Europe as a whole. The Commission is abusing its powers to launch legal proceedings against Hungary and Poland. With this, in the midst of an epidemic and a migrant crisis, and even a hybrid war, Poles and Hungarians are being attacked in the back. This is a slap in the face of solidarity. It's a hit-and-run. In addition, Brussels wants millions of families to pay for the costs of combating climate change in the form of climate taxes, rather than having climate-destroying corporations pay for it. This is unacceptable.

Dear Madam President, Since 29 May 2010, when the Orbán government took office, the Hungarian national security services have not carried out and continue to carry out illegal surveillance. Hungary is a democratic state governed by the rule of law, and in the case of everyone, they acted and acted in accordance with the laws in force. Public bodies authorised to use covert assets are regularly audited by both government and non-government institutions. The inspections carried out fully support the lawful operation of the Hungarian national security services. During the time of the left-wing governments, however, there were a number of serious illegalities. If we are looking for the times when opposition politicians and journalists were intercepted on political grounds or secretly gathered information about them, then we have to study the period of Ferenc Gyurcsány's government: Mustache and OV files, Russian secret services in the Hungarian national security services. Not to mention the fact that the former MEP of Jobbik, a recent ally of the Hungarian left, was found guilty at second instance of preparing espionage.

Dear Mr President, Brussels wants to resolve its disputes with the countries of the Central European region with power. This is unacceptable. Let us not talk about the fact that the representatives of the European ideological mainstream despise us with a superiority typical of colonialists, even though they despise us, but we do not complain. Or that they attack us politically and legally under all sorts of pretexts, and then seventy million Central Europeans, even though they attack us harshly, but we do not whine. What I want to say is that everything that they are doing, that they are abusing Brussels' power to force on us, in an undemocratic and illegal way, their will in relation to gender, migration, the erosion of our national and constitutional sovereignty, Brussels' imperial tendencies, is seriously undermining and even destroying the unity of the Union. And for us freedom-loving and patriotic Central Europeans, European cooperation and the unity of the Union is too important to allow it to be systematically crushed.

Mr. President, please. The European Parliament's umpteenth rule of law resolution is yet another attack on Community law, European values and European cooperation. It is disgraceful what the left is doing, how they are lying, how they are turning the European Parliament into an improvised ideological tribunal, and how they are continuing to attack Member States that reject orders from Brussels. The political will of the left-wing majority in the EP is to severely limit the sovereignty of Hungary and Poland, or to help the left-wing puppet governments that serve Brussels' interests in everything to come to power in these countries as well. But do not doubt for a moment that we will fight for our freedom and independence. Hungary is a well-functioning democracy, a fair state governed by the rule of law, where fundamental rights are guaranteed and people live in greater freedom than in much of the western half of the continent. They can neither bring the Hungarians to their knees nor starve them. Hungary is our passion.
