Foreign interference in all democratic processes in the EU (debate)
Today, the extent of disinformation is evident. This is no longer a difference of opinion on specific issues, but a misrepresentation of events, which is disseminated publicly. During the second week of the war, there have been several attempts on Ukrainian news channels and online platforms, both successful and unsuccessful, to mislead people through disinformation campaigns. This report pinpoints Europe's weaknesses: what are the main objectives, what are the motives, as well as what are the recommendations to strengthen our protection. The protection of European values also includes the security of democratic processes without interference from foreign entities. I call on all colleagues to take these issues with the utmost seriousness and to support the recommendations that follow.
