Political repression and humanitarian situation in Cuba (debate)
Madam President, Mrs Kallas, Cuba needs urgent help. How can it be that on the verge of a humanitarian collapse, when there is no fuel, when there is no light, you are doing the dirty work for Donald Trump? Because they come here to talk about the Cuban government and deliberately forget the fact that Cuba has been suffering for 60 years from a criminal blockade by Washington, which Trump is intensifying right now. And I ask him: How is it possible that if Cuban socialism is so economically unsustainable, how can it be that they have been applying that criminal blockade for 60 years, trying to suffocate it, trying to kill it, and still resist? Because the Cuban people resist and not only resist, but it is a reference in exporting solidarity with the whole world and so they are paid. And that is what the United States does not forgive, that it is a people that does not submit to American imperialism. And that is also not what you forgive, who put in front of a mirror this Europe of moral misery, friend of genocidal and subjugated to Donald Trump. Cuba is not alone.
