Statement by the candidate for President of the Commission (debate)
Nepotism, deindustrialization, inflation and warmongering. This is the result of five years of Ursula von der Leyen at the head of the EU. In these five years Europe has become increasingly poorer, more dangerous and less free. Ursula von der Leyen is responsible for this decline. Because it supports the inflationary policies of the European Central Bank, our money is worth less and less. Because it does not want to close the external borders, the violence on our streets is escalating. Because it wants to prevent the free formation of opinions, more and more Europeans are afraid to speak their opinion openly. Despite this disastrous result, Ursula von der Leyen has today been elected President of the Commission for another five years. And this despite the fact that the European Court of Justice condemned them yesterday. Because she refuses to disclose her deals with American pharmaceutical companies. Damage: a total of 71 billion euros. German taxpayers will have to bleed for this policy. Because Ursula von der Leyen has wasted billions of euros on vaccination deals, coronavirus relief packages and arms supplies, the Commission urgently needs new money. This should now come about new debts. Anyone who loves Europe has therefore voted against Mrs von der Leyen today. Anyone who loves Germany must absolutely prevent the mutualisation of debts in Europe.
