Post-2027 Common Agricultural Policy (debate)
Dear Madam President, Mr. Commissioner, I'm sorry. Tisza can only support a Commission proposal that contributes to the development and sustainability of Hungarian agriculture. We can only accept a proposal that helps Hungarian producers and farmers and contributes to bringing healthy and affordable food to the table of the Hungarian people, while at the same time providing farmers with a decent living. We expect the EU to protect Hungarian producers from the influx of often poor quality and polluted products from abroad. Unlike the Orbán government, the Tisza government will do everything in its power to replace the obsolete feudal type of agriculture with a 21st century agriculture in Hungary. As a party of the countryside and smallholders, we will not allow the Orbáns to deprive the formerly world-class Hungarian agriculture, which today has only seen animal health epidemics for decades, and due to the lack of investment in irrigation, it will suffer drought damages and will obviously drag down the already ailing Hungarian economy. The Tisza can only support a proposal in which a stand-alone agricultural fund will continue to appear and the area-based support system will be maintained, and from which sufficient resources will be allocated to making agriculture sustainable and competitive. (The Chair withdrew the floor from the speaker)
EU Preparedness Union in light of the upcoming wildfire and droughts season (debate)
Dear Madam President, You must be madam. My beautiful country has been plagued by extreme drought for many times in recent years. Drought is a natural disaster. However, it is clearly the responsibility of the Orbán government that the necessary environmental and infrastructural investments have not been built in Hungary in the last 15 years, the irrigation facilities have not been maintained and modernised, and the strategic water management approach has not been changed. As a result, Hungarian farmers are again in trouble, food prices are racing again, while the government is spending money on oligarchs and accusing others of failing to do so. Right now, they are lying about the Tisza taking water from farmers, while the Orbán government is trying to circumvent local water bases for private companies, which would make water really unaffordable for farmers. There's no brakes on the Orban lie train. Hungarian producers and farmers can count on the future Tisza government. We will bring EU funds home and carry out the developments missed by the Orbán government in the areas of water management, irrigation development, transition to alternative soil management and drought preparedness.

EU framework conditions for competitive, efficient and sustainable public transport services at all levels (debate)
Ladies and Gentlemen, You are confusing your country with Viktor Orbán. Viktor Orbán is not Hungary. You lied for a minute, but you did not answer why there are no EU funds in Hungary. Why are the Hungarian people being lied to at home that the EU suspended these funds three years ago because of Tisza, which is a one-year-old opposition party, while everyone knows that your boss is industrial-scale corruption? Why don't you talk about tens of thousands of people left on the railway track in the heat without information? Why don't you talk about the luxury transport minister living in a castle under millions of euros of paintings? Why aren't you talking about this? Why don't you talk about the fact that the railway has never been so late, that they go 10 kilometers per hour, while 160 years ago, in Széchenyi's time, the steam locomotive went 40 kilometers per hour? This railroad has already gone to you, Madam Member, to you. Thank you very much.
EU framework conditions for competitive, efficient and sustainable public transport services at all levels (debate)
Dear Mr President, As the saying goes, it's not a really rich country where the poor travel by car, but where the rich travel by train. Hungarians are puzzled by the fact that while the EU is spending a record amount of resources on rail development, time has not stopped in Hungary under Viktor Orbán, but we are going backwards, and rail transport has disintegrated. Can you imagine how Viktor Orbán, who has been in power for 15 years, blames the barely one-year-old opposition party, the Tisza, for this? While everyone knows that EU funds have been suspended for more than three years due to corruption on an industrial scale in Orban. In Orban Hungary, 50% of the railway track is slow, there are places where trains run 10 km when they are running, because last week the railway traffic in half the country collapsed, and tens of thousands of people remained in heat, without information on the open track or at the railway stations. Viktor Orbán's luxury transport minister stopped all railway developments in Hungary three years ago. All of it. Today, the average age of trains is 40 years. In one year, the Hungarian railway was 7 years late, and we reached the point where not only the climate does not work on the trains and in the hospitals, but also the toilets. Orban's position is that if he can't have the EU funds, no one should have them. It's enough that instead of new cars and locomotives, you'll lease a 30-year-old and promise improvements again, but this time you're wrong. In 299 days, the Hungarians will take back their homeland, and the Tisza government will take EU funds home to the Hungarian people, and it will also start modernizing the railways, renovating the roads and rescuing our hospitals.
Combating the sexual abuse and sexual exploitation of children and child sexual abuse material and replacing Council Framework Decision 2004/68/JHA (recast) (debate)
Oh, thank you. I am not surprised that a member of the Fidesz faction is burping back the vile lies of Fidesz propaganda. I can also send a message to you and your fellow Fidesz party members that Hungarian society is waiting for answers as to why the Orbáns have pardoned paedophile offenders and why they have placed a criminal at the head of a correctional institution. Neither I nor Hungarian society cares about other propaganda lies, and I can tell you and the Fidesz MPs that there are 299 days left and we will replace this government. In the meantime, I wish you and your fellow Fidesz MPs a good fight.
Combating the sexual abuse and sexual exploitation of children and child sexual abuse material and replacing Council Framework Decision 2004/68/JHA (recast) (debate)
Dear Madam President, The most accurate certificate of a state and government is how it treats the weak, those entrusted to it, and children. There is nothing more important than protecting children. Adequate and up-to-date regulation is essential for this. We welcome Parliament's proposal to abolish the statute of limitations for crimes involving children. However, it is important to point out that the legislative framework alone is not sufficient to protect children. Hungary has been shaken by a series of paedophile crimes in recent years. Last year, the whole country was shocked when it was revealed that the President of the Republic had pardoned the helper of a pedophile terror. To this day, the Orbán family has not apologized for the state's failure to protect the children, and has even pardoned one of the perpetrators. Legislative amendments and strict due diligence have been promised, but by now it has turned out to be worthless. A few weeks ago, a new series of crimes against children and young people were uncovered. Despite previous complaints and indications from victims and witnesses, the Orbáns appointed a director of a correctional institution, who has now turned out to have assisted the authorities and the political elite in dealing with young people and committing other serious crimes, as well as receiving a medal from Fidesz politicians and smiling in photos with them. At the very least, the Orbans would answer the questions of Hungarian society and take political responsibility.
High levels of retail food prices and their consequences for European consumers (debate)
Madam President, I'm sorry. In Hungary, food prices increased by two and a half times the EU average. Thanks to the misguided economic policy of Orban, Hungary has become a European record for food price increases. There are products the price of which has doubled in a year in Hungary. Meanwhile, Viktor Orbán increased pensions by 3.2 percent and his own salary by 30 percent. Today, we have hundreds of thousands of compatriots, including many children, who do not have access to healthy food. One million Hungarian pensioners live below the minimum subsistence level. Hundreds of thousands of our elderly compatriots don't have two and a half euros a day for food. For many people, fruit and vegetables are now a luxury in Hungary. Viktor Orbán has abandoned the Hungarian people and Hungarian farmers. Thanks to inflation, Hungarian farmers and food producers are confronted with rising energy prices, input costs and Europe-record VAT. The Orbán government has not provided any meaningful help to Hungarian farmers against propaganda lies. The most important task of the Tisza will be to immediately reduce the VAT on foods, healthy foods, including vegetables and fruits, to 5 percent if we get into government, and to curb the rushing food prices. Orban only talks about the Hungarian countryside and the reduction of utility charges, but at the same time, Hungarian farmers have to face the highest energy prices in Europe. Tisza undertakes to be a party of the Hungarian countryside and Hungarian farmers, and once we get into government, we will work with national and EU funds to restore Hungarian agriculture to its former glory and reputation.
A revamped long-term budget for the Union in a changing world (debate)
Mr. President, please. The future of EU funds is crucial for Hungary. Next year, the first task of the Tisza government will be to promote zero tolerance for all forms of corruption, to eradicate corruption in Orban and to take home the EU funds due to the Hungarian people. It is clear to everyone that health care, education, rural development, transport and pensions are missing billions of euros due to corruption in the country. While the Orbán government is steering our country towards the bankruptcy of the state, inflation is racing, the Hungarian economy is plummeting, while the Orbán government is spending billions on its propaganda to try to make our compatriots believe that Viktor Orbán is not the cause of the lack of EU money. Seeing the latest polling figures, Viktor Orbán and his oligarchs are terrified because they know that their corrupt power will soon end and the "Road to Prison" program will start. Here in Parliament, too, I confirm that in 2026 the Tisza Government will be prepared to take over governance, and we will promote zero tolerance for all forms of corruption. Hungary will join the European Public Prosecutor's Office and the Tisza government will take home the EU funds due to the Hungarian people, thereby relaunching the Hungarian economy destroyed by Orbán.
White paper on the future of European defence (RC-B10-0146/2025, B10-0144/2025, B10-0145/2025, B10-0146/2025, B10-0147/2025, B10-0148/2025, B10-0149/2025, B10-0150/2025, B10-0151/2025) (vote)
Madam President, as you mentioned, my name is mistakenly mentioned on the paper. I would like to have an official explanation from the Presidency or from the EPP Presidency as to how it could happen that my name is on this paper? I have never signed this paper. And I would like the guarantee for the future that it will never happen again. I was already attacked harshly by the Orbán and Fidesz propaganda because my name is on this paper. How could it happen in the European Parliament? I have never undersigned this document. I need an official explanation from you, Madam President, and the EPP Presidency.
Links between organised crime and smuggling of migrants in light of the recent UN reports (debate)
Dear Madam President, Today we are talking about an issue that directly threatens the security of Hungarians, and in which the Hungarian government has a serious responsibility: on the interlinkages between human smuggling and organised crime. The Hungarian Prime Minister lied to the world in this House last October that the smugglers apprehended in the fight against illegal migration were released from Hungarian prisons, but were then fired with their feet outside the borders of Hungary and the EU. Just like the Fidesz MP lied about the stars from the sky a few minutes ago. In comparison, a few weeks ago, while Viktor Orbán spent his several-week vacation in India during the war emergency he ordered, it turned out that the Prime Minister had lied to his compatriots and to all Hungarians. There is no question that the 2,290 people smugglers released from prison by Viktor Orbán, who have been convicted by a final judgment, have actually been expelled from the country. All that happened was that they were free to walk out of Hungarian prisons, and after that they were given 72 hours to leave the country, which, of course, was not controlled by anyone. Thus, neither Viktor Orbán nor European countries can know how many of the dangerous criminals released from Hungarian prisons are currently in Hungary or other EU Member States.
Presentation of the programme of activities of the Polish Presidency (debate)
Dear Madam President, "Polak, Węgier, dwa bratanki." Polish, Hungarian two friends. Dear Prime Minister, Allow me, in these difficult times, at the beginning of the Polish Presidency, to commemorate a very special thing: the thousand-year-old Polish-Hungarian friendship. Common kings, queens, saints, freedom fighters and heroes. In 1335, the Polish, Czech and Hungarian kings laid the foundations of Central European cooperation. This is where V4 and Visegrad cooperation came into play. The Hungarian people will never forget the selfless help they received from the Polish people in the most difficult times. We will never forget our heroes of '48, General Bem, Dembinszky and Viszocky, nor their support in '56. And I am sure that the Polish people will not forget the Hungarian assistance during the Polish uprising of 1830 and the war against the Soviet Union of 1919-21. The miracle you experienced there when Europe abandoned Poland. Mr. Prime Minister, please. The majority of the Hungarian people are saddened by the fact that Viktor Orbán is sacrificing Hungarian-Polish relations on the altar of his daily political interests. If it depends on the next Hungarian governing party, the Tisza and the majority of the Hungarian people, then next year at the latest the star of Hungarian-Polish friendship will shine brightly again in the sky of Europe! We're not afraid! Dziękuję bardzo.
Challenges facing EU farmers and agricultural workers: improving working conditions, including their mental well-being (debate)
Thank you very much, Mr. Speaker, for once again proving that you are lying when you ask questions. Unlike you, who collects your 400 euro daily allowance here in Parliament, I go to the Hungarian countryside. In recent days, thousands and tens of thousands of people have participated in our events, many farmers. You have never been involved in agriculture in your life before you parachuted here, thanks to Viktor Orbán and the fact that one of your fellow Members hit a lady, an innocent lady, with a fist in Budapest. But I took care of it. If you were familiar with EU aid policy, you would know that there is more than just area-based aid. It's not all there is. And we will support vegetable and fruit growers, livestock farmers. It does not mean that if someone supports them – unlike you, who are lying and have ruined Hungarian agriculture – anyone would take away the area-based aid. Once again, you lie when you ask questions, but you have had someone to learn from, and you are Viktor Orbán's student, and everyone comes out of his cloak. Congratulations, shame on you.
Challenges facing EU farmers and agricultural workers: improving working conditions, including their mental well-being (debate)
Mr. President, please. The physical and mental well-being of farmers and farm workers would be best supported by a predictable and fair market environment. Farmers who are vulnerable to traders and the market, and who are subject to price fluctuations of up to 30 percent on a quarterly basis, find it difficult to provide decent conditions. In Hungary, due to the misguided and corrupt policies of the Orbán government, it is primarily necessary to protect farmers and agricultural workers from destruction. In 14 years, the Orbán government has completely destroyed the long-established Hungarian livestock farming and the horticultural sector, and fruit and vegetable growers are struggling to survive. Meanwhile, the Hungarian countryside is becoming depopulated, and agriculture is already facing labour shortages on a daily basis. Representatives of the Hungarian government, including their colleague sitting here, instead of supporting farmers, are lying to the Hungarian countryside about the fact that the EU and, in particular, you are all here seeking to withdraw area-based subsidies from Hungarian farmers. With this, they attack the Tisza Party without any foundation, using the National Chamber of Agriculture and the village economists as well. Viktor Orbán's government is lying, day and night, lying on all wavelengths. Once in government, the Tisza party will strive to strengthen the bargaining power of producers and producer organisations, who will be able to earn a decent income and ensure decent working conditions. We will support young farmers, family farmers and, using the resources and land that have hitherto been allocated to oligarchs, we will promote a village rehabilitation programme and land reform. EU funds will go to those who actually work, i.e. livestock farmers, fruit and vegetable producers, Hungarian beekeepers destroyed by the Orbán family and grain producers abandoned by the Viktor family. Without the wonderful Hungarian countryside and Hungarian agriculture, there is no future for Hungary, MEP Dömötör!
Challenges facing EU farmers and agricultural workers: improving working conditions, including their mental well-being (debate)
Mr. President, please. Mr Csaba Dömötör, Member, please answer to the Hungarian farmers, why, instead of protecting them from escaping input prices, escaping energy prices, instead of protecting the Hungarian farmers together with the Orbán government from the influx of Ukrainian grain, protecting the Hungarian beekeepers from the influx of Ukrainian and counterfeit Chinese honey, do you lie to the Hungarian farmers day and night together with the Hungarian National Chamber of Agriculture and the village agronomists? Why are you lying about people working here in this room to take the area payments away from them? Why are you lying about the fact that the Hungarian opposition wants to take away the area-based support, while no one has ever said such a thing either in this house or in the Tisza Party? Why don't you work for the Hungarian farmers, why do you lie day and night? Why do you lie on all wavelengths?
Presentation of the programme of activities of the Hungarian Presidency (debate)
Dear Madam President, Dear Prime Minister, I am glad that at least here, as the leader of the opposition, I can ask openly on behalf of millions of Hungarian people. I hope that at least now you will explain to Europe, and most of all to our compatriots, how our country got here. How in 20 years Hungary has officially become the poorest and most corrupt country in the EU. Why the Orbán-Gyurcsány era became two decades of missed opportunities. Prime Minister, you have been leading our country for 14 years with unlimited authority. You had every opportunity to make our country a land of promises. Our ancestors fought for the independence and sovereignty of our country for centuries. They also fought for Hungary to be part of Europe. The overwhelming majority of Hungarians decided to join NATO and the EU, and if they had to vote today, they would still do so today. Mr. Prime Minister, I'm sorry. We are members of the European and Western clubs, even if you fantasize about economic neutrality, even if you prefer to talk about world-regime change rather than the real problems of the Hungarian people. Mr. Prime Minister! We agree on the protection of the external borders and on the need to take decisive action against illegal migration. But if that's what you're really fighting for, then why are you letting 2,000 people smugglers out of Hungarian prisons? Why do your oligarchs deal in residency bonds worth tens of billions of forints? Why did you secretly want to build a 500-person migrant camp near the Austrian border from 5 billion forints? And please be honest for once, don't blame Brussels for that. And yes, all sides must work to bring the Russo-Ukrainian war to an end as soon as possible and, at the very least, to reach a ceasefire. But that does not mean that your political director's opinion that Ukraine should not have fought for its territorial sovereignty is acceptable. Mr. Prime Minister! The basis of Hungarian independence, sovereignty and constitutionality is the legacy of our heroes of 1956. This legacy was desecrated by your political adviser, who is still shuffling behind you, who said that we learned from the 1956 revolution that in the event of an attack by a foreign power, we should not resist, because it could cost us our lives. Prime Minister, this is called treason. We also agree that the most important foundation of our nation is the family, that it is important to protect the beautiful Hungarian countryside. But, Prime Minister, while you lie about being family-, country- and child-friendly, pedophile scandals are rocking our country. Never in sixty years have so few children been born as in the fourteenth year of your government. Since 2008, the family allowance is EUR 30 and the minimum pension is EUR 70 per month. Mr. Prime Minister, I'm sorry. We're headed for a demographic catastrophe. Almost one million of our compatriots are now forced to earn a living in the West. Mr. Prime Minister, I'm sorry. Tens of thousands of Hungarian children are born in London, Vienna, Paris and Brussels. And instead of working so that hundreds of thousands of our compatriots can return home, you are bringing in 60,000 Asian economic migrants without consulting the Hungarian people. Prime Minister, you have abandoned the Hungarian countryside, you are closing railway wings and rural obstetrics, and you have closed hundreds of post offices. The Hungarian countryside is emptied. Today, every second 18-year-old Hungarian is thinking about leaving his country. Mr. Prime Minister! The average age of Hungarian railway wagons is 45 years. The locomotives are on fire, the switches are broken, the Hungarian railway has never been so late, and in the meantime your minister stopped all railway developments two years ago. The health indicators of our country are deteriorating every year. One in three Hungarian men die before their 65th birthday. Forty thousand nurses are missing from the system. There is no disinfectant or toilet paper in Hungarian hospitals in the home of Ignác Semmelweis. In summer, while you were spending your luxury holiday on the Adriatic, there were wards where it was forty degrees. Many surgeries and treatments were lost due to the health crisis, including that of children. Education has been degraded, and the indicators of Hungarian children have been deteriorating in international surveys for years. Nowadays, students do not receive an Erasmus scholarship, while you increased your ministerial salary by 30%, your own legal income to 6.5 million forints, while our nurses, social workers, public servants, families raising sick children, government officials, court and prosecutorial employees, many of them work for starvation wages. Hungary has the second lowest minimum wage, EUR 668, compared to EUR 1 000 in Poland and EUR 1 250 in Slovenia. In Poland, the minimum wage has been tripled since 2010, in Romania the minimum wage has been increased five times, and food is 30% cheaper. You have increased Hungary's public debt by two and a half times, inflation is the European record, VAT is high and highest. On average, Hungarians have more expensive access to gas and electricity than their European counterparts. As long as you are on the public media every week, opposition leaders have not been allowed in there for six months. Why did you spend $1,309 billion on propaganda in five years when the Hungarian state is not functioning and public services are falling apart? Mr. Prime Minister, I'm sorry. We both know it's over. The sea has risen, the sea of peoples, and whatever vile means they use, whatever threats they make, we, with millions of Hungarians, are taking back our homeland step by step, brick by brick, and building a peaceful, European, livable Hungary. And let me finish with II. In the words of Pope John Paul II: I call on you never, never to give up hope, never to doubt, never to tire, never to be discouraged, never to be afraid. Mr. Prime Minister, I'm sorry. We are not afraid, and time works for us.
