The first European Annual Asylum and Migration report and the setting up of the Annual Solidarity Pool (debate)
Honourable MEPs, Honourable Members of the European Commission. Lithuania also faces a major problem of emigrants, but has built a huge border and the number of immigrants has decreased. Today, other problems have arisen in relations with Belarus. It is the flight of air balloons to the territory of Lithuania, smuggled. They have been flying for three years. Lithuania did not see the problem. He has now raised a huge problem. Lukashenko says: “Let’s set up a commission to address these issues”. Lithuania: “no, we will judge from the point of view of force”. What will you decide from the position of strength if you can't shoot down the balloons? If you see a drone flying out in just three weeks. I believe that these negotiations are necessary. Five thousand or less vans are now parked in Lithuania's Belarus. The Belarusians took retaliatory action, and Lithuania has not allowed to drive Belarusian cars in Lithuania for two years. We gotta sit down. And you encourage Lithuania to sit down at the negotiating table and talk to Belarus.
First anniversary of the DANA floods in Spain: improving EU preparedness (debate)
More than 80 years ago, some scientists reported that the Earth was freezing. Fifty years ago, the United Nations declared that the Earth is warming – climate change. And that by 2025, Europe will be underwater because of melting glaciers. But 10 years ago, when they saw that Europe was not hurt, they announced that climate change was happening. I want to ask you, are you against the fact that there would be no summer and winter, no night and day? What are you for? Is it always summer or winter?
The need for a united support to Ukraine and for a just and durable peace concluded on Ukraine's terms, with Europeans and without surrendering to Vladimir Putin's conditions ahead of the foreseen Budapest summit (debate)
Mr President, you criticise Trump for going to Alaska and meeting Putin, the Russian dictator. You further criticize Trump for going to Hungary and again wanting to meet with the Russian dictator. But I want to tell you that if Europe were united, strong and principled, it would have defended Ukraine without Trump. Putin knows that this is just a flop, that this is just a speech, and that there is no decisive action from the European side. Perhaps Putin would not even agree to meet with any leader of the European Union, because the European Union is not united. Look, Merz said he would give Taurus, but he became chancellor and did not give them. Why do you only make resolutions? Why don't you give serious support to Ukraine? Why don't you defend Ukraine?
The need for a united support to Ukraine and for a just and durable peace concluded on Ukraine's terms, with Europeans and without surrendering to Vladimir Putin's conditions ahead of the foreseen Budapest summit (debate)
I wanted to make a comment on the order of conduct. Because you allow the representatives of the ruling majority to ask questions twice on the same subject and then to speak on the basis of the blue card. For us from the opposition, if we ask a question, you are not asking us to speak on the basis of the blue card. This is not a question, but a comment to you.
Situation in Belarus, five years after the fraudulent presidential elections (debate)
Mr President, I am very sorry for this bias in the Presidency. He has spoken on this subject five times, a colleague who has spoken before me. Oh to me čiut You give me the word. I want to tell you, the defenders of Belarus, that Beliatski was betrayed by the government of Mr Kubilius, the current Commissioner from Lithuania. the Lukashenka regime. They didn't even apologize. We protested then in Parliament in Lithuania. Who are they serving? Now the next question: Is our policy of isolation towards Belarus, do you not think that it is very useful for Putin? I know Lukashenko is a dictator, but these all... such an isolationist policy pushes Lukashenko into Putin's arms. Is it good for Europe? Is this good for Putin? The sanctions against Belaruskali are very beneficial to Russia, as fertilisers have increased almost fivefold and Uralkali is making huge profits. Who are we serving? Let's think! There are many dictators in Europe, there are many in the world, but some are good for you and some are bad for you.
Preparation of the European Council meeting of 23 October 2025 (debate)
Mr President, honourable Members, I wanted to react, perhaps by supporting the speech of my colleague Vytenis Andriukaitis. We criticize Trump for negotiating with Putin. But if we, I want to ask, the leaders of the European Union, were to be determined and principled, should we intervene here in this conflict, in this war, where Russia has attacked Ukraine, in America? No. But we are divided, not united. Putin is mocking us. Now, I'll admit, I've already started ridiculing Trump. The President of Germany, Scholz, said: “I will not give Taurus. Merz said I'd give it. They are not there today. There is neither financial support nor military support. Wait, let's look at ourselves first, what are we? Did we do everything? I wouldn't give anything instead of Trump, let Europe deal with it. It is a powerful union.
Dear rapporteur. Europe was "climbed on a big rake", i.e. Russian gas and oil. It is not until 2027 that the "weed" will disembark. Now, when we develop green energy, we climb onto the Chinese "weed", because the entire raw material for the production of car batteries, solar batteries, is Chinese. Will it not happen that we will again have to climb away from another, Chinese "weed"?
Delayed justice and rule of law backsliding in Malta, eight years after Daphne Caruana Galizia’s assassination (debate)
Dear President! MEPs from the ruling majority have just said that there is an institute of democracy and justice here, but that is not the case. You just a few weeks ago protected and did not lift your immunity to yourself. Those who organized a rally in Hungary, acts of violence during the rally, who defended the family. Va, the chair of this colleague who has just spoken, allowed me to ask, allowed me to speak. And to me, since I am a representative of the opposition, if I ask, I never give a word. This is not an institute of justice. The Double Standards Institute! Next, let's see whether death – whether by a journalist, politician or other person – is evil. When he was shot by Ch. Kirk, we asked for a minute's silence. What are you? The presidency did not even allow MEPs to stand up. What are you talking about? This is an institute of shame! Look what it is. What's going on in Europe?
Changing security landscape and the role of police at the heart of the EU’s internal security strategy (debate)
Dear MEPs. It was only when I was elected to the European Parliament that I stayed at a hotel in Brussels and went for a walk in the evening. I only walked a few meters from the hotel and was attacked by drug addicts and other criminals. In the capital of Europe! The police told me I couldn't go there. Criminals, drug addicts and immigrants are rampant in these areas. What's going on?
Deliberations of the Committee on Petitions in 2024 (debate)
Mr President, yes, I would like to say, as has been said, that this is the Petitions Commission, this is the link between the people of Europe and the European Parliament. However, one huge problem is that it is a big bureaucracy and these petitions have been dealt with for a very long time. Here are some examples: it has been half a year and it is not yet clear when it will be examined. Calling the European... The Committee on Petitions often sits in drawers with certain institutions, the European Commission, for a very long time, and these petitions are often not dealt with without a year. This is not only a problem for the European Parliament in this area, it is a huge bureaucracy in all areas. I therefore ask you to pay attention, and indeed to process these petitions as soon as possible, because people are disappointed and say that I will still receive an answer maybe in a year or more, it will not be relevant to me. I ask you, Commissioner, to pay attention to this.
United response to recent Russian violations of the EU Member States’ airspace and critical infrastructure (debate)
Dear rapporteur, I would like to ask you as the representative of the ruling majority. The European Union is only talking, but not taking very concrete action. Lately Lithuania, my country, has been a member of NATO. Drones are coming in. The Minister of National Defence says that there were no drones here, but a group of sparrows, but two weeks later finds drones in a military range. Air balloons arrive a couple of days ago. They say we don't have anything to shoot down. It's a fairy tale. Take the bow, the arrow, and shoot down. It is a shame for all of Europe and the world. When will the European Union take serious decisions?
Solidarity with Poland following the deliberate violation of Polish airspace by Russian drones (debate)
Dear MEPs. I was surprised by this debate when no MEP, not even from Poland, expressed gratitude to Belarus, which warned Poland that drones would fly into its territory. And that's why I think they've all been shot down. I would like to point out that the European Union, and Lithuania in particular, makes Belarus a friend of Putin and not its ally. The United States has called for the release of political prisoners. And Lukashenko listened, letting go of some, or maybe letting go of all. The European Union, do not serve Putin by pushing Lukashenko into Putin's arms.
Dear rapporteur. You, the People’s Party, together with Von der Leyen, have run the European Parliament – you are here in the majority – and the European Commission for the second term. You have created these problems in a decade, you have not managed migration, you have abandoned Christian values and you are promoting genderism. You are! No country in the world counts with you – neither China, nor India, nor America. Have you created an infinite... (The Chair takes the floor from the speaker)
Endometriosis: Europe’s wake-up call on the gender health gap (debate)
Dear rapporteur, I believe that all people in the European Union – children, grandparents, children, women and men – receive equal attention and are not discriminated against. I know that everyone else suffers from a variety of diseases. Surprisingly, women are complaining. But surely attention should be paid, surely should treat all diseases, without distinguishing between women and children. Why is this so special attention? Even more so, as you have said before, there are no men or women. There are already many genders.
The EU’s post-2027 long-term budget: Parliament’s expectations ahead of the Commission’s proposal (debate)
I don't know what's going on here. The draft budget will only come out in a week's time, and we are already discussing it. It's an absurdity I've never seen. Not for nothing did American President Trump call the European Union an institution of world bureaucracy, where there is no one to talk to and no one to be responsible for. Let's cut the bureaucracy. Who is the president of a country where millions are wasted? For whom? Would an institution - the European Parliament, the European Commission - not be enough? All right, let's work rationally. The employee must be employed for half a year. After my life, I only met when I became a member of the European Parliament. Dismissal of an advisor who has lost confidence is also a six-month procedure. If you don't see it, this procedure doesn't fit in your head. Look what it is, we work in Brussels and Strasbourg. There are about 10,000 officers a month. The trains are small...
Dear MEPs, I am constantly asking myself a question and I want to ask the same question to you. Who has determined in the world that some countries may have nuclear weapons, while others may not? Behold, Iran is being bombarded to prevent it from enriching its nuclear weapons, even though Iran says it is enriching for peaceful purposes. America says Israel will destroy Israel, and Russia doesn't threaten with a nuclear weapon? It's a threat! But we're not bombing Russia. Is China a democratic country? No, but she has the right to have a nuclear weapon. Who found it? And if Ukraine had not given up its nuclear weapons and had not signed the Budapest Treaty, I think it would not have been attacked by Russia today.
Need for the EU to scale up clean technologies (debate)
I believe that the Green Deal should be balanced and should not overshadow the overall economy. We are definitely becoming uncompetitive as a result of the Green Deal in many branches, and I think we need to look at the global single market and not ruin our business. Therefore, I think that we are not keeping that balance and, unfortunately, we are trying to just forcibly set up the Green Deal by collapsing business on a global level. Both the automotive industry and farmers in the European Union are protesting, and this Green Deal policy should be very balanced and carried out responsibly.
Presentation of the programme of activities of the Danish Presidency (debate)
I wanted to ask you, are there not too many different institutions in the European Union? It seems to me that there is the European Parliament, the European Commission, the Head of the European Commission. Why do we need to hold the presidency of each country separately? Is there such a folk proverb, Nine babysitters and a child without a head? We also don't know who is responsible for what, or who takes responsibility for it, or we don't really need less of that bureaucracy.
Institutional and political implications of the EU enlargement process and global challenges (debate)
Dear President. I asked you, colleagues from the EPP party, when you would welcome Ukraine into the European Union. He said it was a reactionary question. And those resolutions, as I said, are not being asked for by the Ukrainian President Zelenskyy, whom we accept every day as we love Ukraine. So can you then publicly tell everyone that you are not going to accept Ukraine into the European Union? And what is interfering with this? Is it not such hypocrisy, when one speaks, and the actions are completely different? Only by resolutions do we love... (The Chair takes the floor from the speaker)
Institutional and political implications of the EU enlargement process and global challenges (debate)
Mr President, rapporteur, I am asking this question for the fourth time and I am not getting an answer. The European Parliament and the European Commission love Ukraine very much and there is no day for us not to adopt any resolution on love for Ukraine. But President Zelenskyy is not asking for resolutions, he is asking for membership of the European Union. Who is to blame for not admitting Ukraine to the European Union after this day – Putin, Trump, Ukraine or the European Union? And tell me, after all, when will you get from words to real deeds?
Dear President. Europe needs to understand that NATO is America. And, I think, in the face of the war in Ukraine, which has been going on for more than three years, the European Union must understand and draw serious conclusions. It must have its own army, its own weaponry, its own industry. Today, NATO can be said to be America. It has its own interests, but Europe must have its own interests and must defend them. Isn't it a shame for a Europe that hasn't defended Ukraine for so many years? Russia continues to invade Ukrainian territory. The pretext is that it is not a NATO member, Ukraine, and we will not defend it. And Israel is a member of NATO? And Taiwan is a NATO member? There's a gun there. And another commitment between Europe and America, this is the Budapest Treaty, when Ukraine abandoned nuclear weapons. Where are the commitments? None That is, in practice, Europe must have its own army and armaments.
Mr President, the European Union has developed as a democratic state, a union, but it has degenerated into a dictatorial union similar to the former Soviet Union. It was dominated by communism. Anyone who criticized communism was persecuted. Now in the European Union, whoever criticizes genderism is also persecuted. It degenerates, persecutes those who defend Christian values, who do not allow them to be destroyed. The European Union has become a dictatorial union. And I'd suggest you turn over, knock down those booths démocratique etc. It is not here. There is a genderist ideology and a genderist ideology. People who defend Christian values are punished. There are financial and various sanctions. So the European Union has degenerated and I think that...
Combating the sexual abuse and sexual exploitation of children and child sexual abuse material and replacing Council Framework Decision 2004/68/JHA (recast) (debate)
Mr President, honourable colleague, the European Parliament is, in my opinion, simply a source of evil. From here comes the advocacy of sexual perversions, gay pride, other crimes, which especially harm children. So maybe here we take measures and stop this propaganda, and then there will be less sexual offenses. With one hand you punish, and with the other hand you see, you promote crime. How do you assess this?
Deliberations of the Committee on Petitions in 2023 (debate)
Presidencies, Commissioner. When a petition to the European Parliament is being elected today in Lithuania, because the former Social Democrats, who were in power now, opposed the current government by participating in the election campaign and said that they would not raise taxes. Including real estate, personal income taxes and others. When they came to power, they accepted the tax hike today after submission. People are outraged at being deceived. One speech before the election and another after the election. People see how public wealth is being wasted and how bureaucracy is expanding. Even the National Audit Office determines this, but does not take action, robs people. I hope that both the European Commission and the European Committee on Petitions will take and seriously examine the hundreds of thousands of signatures collected by Lithuanian citizens.
