Dates of forthcoming sittings

The next meeting will take place from 11 to 14 September 2023. We still have almost exactly one year to go today – in one year and three days, the new European Parliament will meet when we come back from the summer break. We already notice that not only outside, but also inside the house, the temperatures rise somewhat, as far as the hotties and excitement are concerned. When we come back from the summer break, most of us will set out to campaign, and we will see the pre-election period. I wish everyone a good rest until then. In particular, I would like to thank the services, for which all this naturally applies as well. Commissioner, your staff, the whole Commission, if you have a good summer, come home well this weekend.

Mr Wallace, I always try to make this as fair as possible. You also know that I always enjoy your speeches with great sympathy, even if I do not share your opinion, but you always speak freely, and you also stick to speaking time. But being there all the time isn't the argument for everything. We have five minutes of speaking time here, five speakers, I have taken the political groups into account on a reciprocal basis. I have taken into account someone from your group who came forward very early, who came forward first. We can prove that, and I can't change that now that I've decided so. Let me just say briefly that the President of the Council is at the summit and cannot share. He has no deputy, and he would have liked it to be done at another time. The political groups did not follow suit. I would expect that at least the representatives in the round of political groups who ultimately decided to do so would at least stick to the fact that these facts are not being called into question here now.
