Electrification Action Plan (debate)

Madam President, the European Union's electrification project is being put forward as an alleged response to a problem created by its strategy and the consequences of the imperialist wars in which it participates. Against the strategy of the European Union of groups and governments, we are fighting for energy – a social good, the abolition of the energy exchange and excise duties, a reduction and cap on prices, and the exploitation of domestic energy sources such as lignite.

The role of the EU in efforts for peace and stability throughout the Middle East after the announced deal between the US and Iran (debate)

Madam President, under the hypocritical title of ‘De-escalation in the Middle East’, the European Union is trying to hide the course of the escalation of war – despite fragile, temporary compromises – as well as the brutalities of its allies: the ongoing genocide of Israel against the Palestinian people, the atrocities against the 3 800 dead Lebanese people, the dirty US-Israel war against Iran, as well as its consequences for the working class popular strata, such as a further spike in accuracy. The European Union is complicit in the war economy and preparation. Guided by the interests of the groups, it strengthens economic, political and military relations with the Israeli state and adopts the unacceptable pretexts of the United States and Israel for the war in Iran. Political repression and humanitarian situation in Cuba (debate)

Madam President, Madam Vice-President Kallas, you know nothing about the US blockade of Cuba and its consequences, do you? Because what we have here today is another debate of convenience, while the United States reinforces the blockade against the Cuban people and increases the threats of military aggression against Cuba. This is further proof that the Union is complicit in intervention against an independent state, with the aim of nullifying the decisions of the people and the achievements of the Cuban Revolution. References to alleged human rights violations are hypocritical and fabricated. They serve today as a pretext for aggression against Cuba and the criminal blockade that deprives the people of electricity, medicines and fuel, which puts thousands of human lives at risk. How to secure a sustainable future for the EU livestock sector in light of the need to ensure food security, farmers’ resilience and the challenges posed by animal diseases? (debate)

Madam President, the struggling stockbreeders on Lesvos see their lives buried in pits and the New Democracy government is deaf to their demands for 100% compensation for their losses, for full replenishment of lost income and vaccination, to limit unfair killings. First their animals were left unprotected in the face of the autocratic fever. Then an irrational lockdown was imposed by the government and the European Union. The Commission’s 2025 Rule of Law report (debate)

Mr President, the report seeks to make European Union law the protector of people's rights and freedoms, when in reality it is the European Union's rule of law that brutally violates the rights of workers, young people, women, migrants and refugees, of other peoples, through wars that the European Union supports. Even some of the findings that the report may make are invalidated by the big picture it is trying to form. In fact, it makes no mention of specific states and serious cases. Interim report on the proposal for the multiannual financial framework for 2028-2034 (debate)

Madam President, we condemn the economic strangulation of Cuba by the United States, which is turning into genocide. The sixty-seven-year blockade has cost two trillion dollars in damages, depriving the people of basic goods, medicines and services. Conclusions of the European Council meeting of 19 March 2026 (debate)

Situation in Venezuela following the extraction of Maduro and the need to ensure a peaceful democratic transition (debate)

Madam President, we condemn the US military intervention in Venezuela. Beyond the ridiculous pretexts, the causes of the intervention are the seizure of energy mineral wealth and the fortification of the economic and geopolitical interests of the US in competition with China and Russia, which upgraded their presence in Latin America. We denounce the support of the intervention by the European Union, the sanctions that worsened the conditions of life and are a means of intervention in the internal affairs of Venezuela, but also the support of the New Democracy government in the intervention, as well as other bourgeois parties, which adopt the pretexts of the USA and wash away the attack in the name of democracy. Such statements reveal that so-called international law is used as an alibi for imperialist interventions and lead to very dangerous developments for the peoples. We escalate our solidarity with the Venezuelan people, who alone are responsible for determining developments in the country. We shout "Hands off Cuba", which is the target of threats and faces the barbaric blockade of the US and its allies.

Implementation of the rule of law conditionality regime (debate)

Madam President, the implementation of the rule of law, i.e. the anti-grassroots EU legislation – this is what is at issue – is intensifying the workers’ and people’s problems and the decay of the exploitative system, such as that of OPEKEPE in Greece, the scandal that sprouted over the CAP funds sucked up by the various cadres of the state apparatus of the government parties. After all, the European Union is only interested in its economic damage. Thus, for example, the predetermined crime of Tempi does not investigate the crime itself, i.e. the collision of two trains and the death of 57 people, but how EU funds were distributed to groups for contract 717 that was delayed, under the responsibility of governments, under the responsibility of corporate monopolistic competitions and in the knowledge of the European Union. The conditionality mechanism is a redistribution of funds, serving the objectives of the groups in each case, even at the expense of Member States of the European Union that are not fully aligned with the strategic choices.
