State of the Union (debate)
Ladies Presidents, our enemies are testing our vulnerabilities: the invasion of Ceuta; yesterday, Lithuania and Denmark; a few days ago, Germany and Poland. These are not casual incidents: is a hybrid war declared in the form of a drone, computer virus, border and territorial integrity violated. Whoever attacks a border, whoever invades a European territory or whoever knocks out an infrastructure …

The recent hybrid attacks and instrumentalisation of migrants in Ceuta and the need for a coordinated response to protect EU’s external borders (debate)
Madam President, ladies and gentlemen, put aside the demagoguery and the excuses. Today and always, we must be with the Ceutas. They've suffered a lot. The facts are irrefutable: more than one hundred dead, more than eighty thousand irregulars invading Ceuta violating a European border. Yes, a hybrid manual war. Pedro Sanchez knew: The police alerted, the intelligence services sent reports and Pre…

Narco-trafficking in Europe’s waters: protecting our borders and supporting our law enforcement officers (debate)
Mr President, ladies and gentlemen, drug trafficking kills: It kills those who consume, it kills the future of young people, it kills the rule of law and it kills the agents who fight it. The civilian guards killed in Huelva and Barbate by narcolanchas are not an isolated tragedy, they are the consequence of years of impunity, of a lack of resources of a government such as Sánchez’s, which unprote…

Air passenger rights (debate)
Madam President, today ends thirteen years of blockade in which air passengers have seen their rights violated. Thanks to the leadership of the European People's Party, we have achieved three things: defend and protect consumer rights, demand maximum transparency in ticket prices to avoid last-minute surprises and hidden cost overruns, and ensure free competition between airlines. Never again will…

Preparation of the European Council (joint debate)
Mr President, Commissioner, a single market, a single defence and unique rules, there is no other way. But we need to go faster and further. We must lead, not manage decay. Either we do it now or, as Draghi warned, the agony will be slow and painful. We must move in three directions. First: the economic one, accelerating the single market, opening highways to talent, to investment, to innovation, …

High time to deliver on the Single Market, providing certainty and predictability for EU businesses and quality jobs (debate)
Madam President, Madam President of the Commission, ladies and gentlemen, the time has come: "One Europe, one market" and - I add - one future together. Twenty-six years ago, Europe pledged in Lisbon to be the most competitive economy in the world, but that ambition ended up turning into a maze of bureaucracy. And today we continue to pay that price, because bureaucracy is not just paperwork. Bure…

Shortcomings and deficiencies of the ‘Amnesty Law’ in Venezuela
Mr President, ladies and gentlemen, anyone who crosses the line between democracy and dictatorship is never coming back. Delcy Rodríguez was the executing hand of two narcodictators like Chávez and Maduro, signed arrests, extorted legitimate presidents like Edmundo González and turned El Helicoide into the symbol of Chavista terror, and today she is the successor of a regime that has threatened, t…

EU strategy in response to the ongoing Middle East crisis, its implications on energy prices and the availability of fertilizers (joint debate)
Madam President, Europe has responded with determination to the energy crisis caused by the war: fiscal support for economic sectors, especially agriculture, coordination between countries to better manage oil and gas reserves, removal of barriers to the electrification of industry and the European Union’s acceleration plan – an economic shield for families. What does this prove? Something essenti…

Conclusions of the European Council meeting of 19 March 2026 (debate)
Madam President, Mr President, Commissioner, the European Council has been clear: in the European Union there is no government that defends war, but there is only one, that of Sánchez, who uses it as a loudspeaker for electoral propaganda. Our priority has been and always will be stability, security and peace. Europe is clear about who our partners are and who they are a threat to. The re…

Presentation of the Energy Package (debate)
Mr President, today the President of the Commission has given us great news with the launch of the energy package, which moves away from the mistakes of the past and which has nuclear energy as one of the essential pillars. New interconnections, nuclear reactors, energy for citizens... who are going to achieve something that many thought impossible: not relying on Russia and having a competitive e…

Situation in Venezuela following the extraction of Maduro and the need to ensure a peaceful democratic transition (debate)
Madam President, the fall of Maduro is the most anticipated news for those of us who defend freedom and democracy. But if we are here today, it is because the European People's Party has been leading the sanctions on the regime for years. We have led the Sakharov Prize for Edmundo and Maria Corina Machado, aid to the Venezuelan opposition and international pressure against the narco-dictatorship. …

Air passenger rights (debate)
Mr President, may my first words be to convey my heartfelt condolences to the victims, the injured and the families of those affected by the tragic railway accident in Adamuz, Spain. Ladies and gentlemen, low-cost carriers democratised air transport and that represented a historic leap for society as a whole. But democratising travel cannot degrade the rights of travellers. Flying with a carry-on …

Preventing sexual harassment in public institutions: latest revelations and resignations in Spain and institutional responses (debate)
Mr President, Commissioner, I am going to tell you the great farce of Pedro Sánchez: Feminism. The leader who boasted of being a shield for women today has turned his party into a moral dungeon full of stalkers, predators and accomplices who kept quiet so as not to lose their armchair. There are not one, nor two, nor three public offices indicated: mayors who sent sexual messages to comrades and m…

Order of business
Madam President, in recent days we have seen a cascade of cases of harassment of women by Socialist Party politicians holding public office. We are before the me too of the Spanish socialists, and each case is more disgusting and disgusting than the previous one. Socialism has spent years handing out feminism cards and is now leading an endless trickle of harassment from power, even from the seat …

Preparation of the European Council meeting of 23 October 2025 (debate)
Madam President, Europe is at the same time facing a young housing problem, a defence challenge and a migration crisis. Without access to housing there is no life project for young people. We need more affordable housing, less taxes, more facilities to access a mortgage and fight squatting. Because young Europeans don't want speeches, they want real solutions and opportunities. At the same time, w…

Changing security landscape and the role of police at the heart of the EU’s internal security strategy (debate)
Mr President, Commissioner, when a policeman puts his own life on the line to defend everyone's freedom, he does not ask for privileges, he demands justice. Recognizing their work as a risk profession is not a privilege, it is a moral and political duty. Europe set up Frontex, Europol or CEPOL to respond to terrorism and organised crime. But it is no longer enough to react. Today the European Peop…

United response to recent Russian violations of the EU Member States’ airspace and critical infrastructure (debate)
Madam President, the question is not whether Russia is attacking Europe, the question is when we are going to defend ourselves as the European Union. What began as the invasion of Ukraine is already today a covert war against Europe. Putin is measuring our patience with drones and disinformation, pushing the boundaries to provoke and divide us. It is urgent that we shield our security with a defen…

State of the Union (debate)
Madam President, thank you, President von der Leyen, for your proposals. We must take action, because our greatest ally raises our tariffs and China continues to move forward to be the new geopolitical center of the world. Europe cannot hesitate. The war of freedom against tyranny is being waged in Ukraine. We need a just and lasting peace, because the fall of Ukraine would be the beginning of the…

The Council also reaffirmed our support for Ukraine, which continues to fight for its freedom, reminding us that security is not improvised, it …

Safeguarding the rule of law in Spain, ensuring an independent and autonomous prosecutor's office to fight crime and corruption (debate)
Mr. President, Pedro Sánchez is the first and last person responsible for a corrupt criminal organization in Spain. He is the head of a network of power, money and silences involving public officials, ministers and even his own family. This is the biggest political scandal this Parliament has ever seen. Sanchez assaulted his own party by rigging internal elections. Its number two distributed contr…

The Commission’s 2024 Rule of Law report (debate)
Madam President, I come to tell you what this report on the rule of law is silent about: Spain is kidnapped by an autocrat. We have been denouncing every abuse of justice and the rule of law in this House for seve…

Resilience and the need to improve the interconnection of energy grid infrastructure in the EU: the first lessons from the blackout in the Iberian Peninsula (debate)
Madam President, Commissioner, five seconds: That's what Sanchez's green transition lasted before the whole country went black. Sanchez boasted that Spain was a world leader in energy transition. The president of Red Eléctrica - by the way, finger-placed and whose only technical endorsement is her socialist card - said that Spain would never suffer a blackout. And the Minister of Ecological Transi…
