(IT) Mr President, ladies and gentlemen, my thoughts and solidarity go out to the people of Emilia Romagna, in Italy, who have been hit by bad weather at this time. Debating the consequences of drought, floods and extreme phenomena is important and it is the duty of Europe and the States to take care of the affected territories, but pointing the finger exclusively on man and climate change also takes away responsibility for those who, certain works, just do not want them. When it comes to drought, we have to go in the opposite direction to the ecologists' belief. To combat these phenomena we need more people, we need more jobs and more investments, we need more structures built on the territories, we need water basins, which environmentalists often oppose, while against floods we need containment tanks, mobile barriers and cleaning of the banks. And here, too, the left is often opposed. As for farmers, in recent years Europe has outrageously blamed them, pointing to them as enemies of the climate, when instead they are very important for the territories. Especially in these difficult times, they must be supported, because they are the ones who work the land, who take care of it – the real guardians of the territories. Ideology is enough: Seriousness and more responsibility are needed, including from the European institutions, to help the affected populations.

I would like to ask you a question that I would like to ask all the members of the left: Is there a reason why you, in all your speeches, have never mentioned the Islamic religion, especially radical Islam? Why not understand the connection between these prohibitions, between the apartheid that women suffer there and radical Islam is not to see the problem, and sincerely makes a lot of sadness.

Mr President, ladies and gentlemen, I wonder where feminists have gone. When it comes to women's rights in Islamic countries, they lose their voice, they shut up. I listened to the speeches of the left-wing MPs: Not a single one mentioned the Islamic term. What is happening in Afghanistan makes me shudder. I say this as a woman, first of all, as a free woman who has always fought for women's rights denied in Muslim-majority countries. The crimes, persecution, torture and arbitrary detention of Afghan women and girls by the Taliban regime is the lowest point of recent times. Have you read the new laws against women? They cannot move on their own, they cannot dress as they wish, they cannot attend high school, they cannot work outside the home, they cannot hold political positions, they must cover any part of their body and they cannot look directly at men not belonging to their family. They can't even make their voices heard in public, singing or acting. They are guilty of just one thing: to be women. All this takes place in the deafening silence of the European and Italian left, always ready to speak out of turn of patriarchy, but silent – absolutely silent – when radical Islam is involved. Silence also from feminist associations, more committed to crippling the endings of words than to dealing with gender violence and abuse. Too tiring or too uncomfortable to take to heart the complicated affairs of the women of Kabul – the Taliban, the burqa, sharia, beatings, submission. No indignation, no street demonstrations, no sermon on rights and equality violated. Shut up. Europe's failure to take a strong stance on Afghanistan suggests a tolerance towards a type of culture that does not belong to us and that is not compatible with our principles of democracy and freedom. You also demonstrate this by promoting the Islamic headscarf in the official communications of the European Commission. All this with the obvious consequence that the suburbs of the big cities are filling up with veiled women, even with the burqa. Even in schools, girls with headscarves are increasing. For us this oppression for religious reasons is unacceptable and we will continue to denounce it, even at the cost of taking threats, even of death. We're not afraid. I'm not afraid. We are ready to do our part. Europe cannot and must not look the other way.

Mr President, ladies and gentlemen, the car is in agony all over Europe. We need to change course on the electric to prevent disaster. Sales of battery-powered vehicles are languishing: They cost too much, they are uncomfortable, they do not convince consumers. European brands are in crisis and are also falling on the stock market: Volkswagen wants to close three plants, with 15,000 jobs at risk, Audi closes a factory in Belgium and Stellantis stops production in Turin due to lack of demand for the electric model of the 500. It is the failure of a European industrial policy. It is a real suicide for companies that have represented the great industry of our continent. You are destroying the car industry, do you want to understand it or not? Either you change the line, removing the ban on diesel and gasoline engines from 2035, or at least revising the dates, or you will only create unemployment and poverty.

Mr President, ladies and gentlemen, indiscriminate reception undermines society. Blocking it is neither racism nor Islamophobia: That's common sense. With unrestrained immigration, you have also opened Europe's door to terrorists. There is not only one obvious problem of asylum seekers planning to kill or slit the throats of those who welcomed them: There is a bigger issue called citizen safety. Now Chancellor Schulz says: Islamists threaten peaceful coexistence among all of us. And you're just noticing now? Well, "well woke up," let's say. And yet the signs have been everywhere for a long time: attacks, violent demonstrations, ghetto neighborhoods where the state does not exist, more and more extremists, including among young people, and more and more Islamic veils even in our cities, symbols of oppression of women for religious reasons. How long will Europe continue to submit to those who hate us?

Madam President, ladies and gentlemen, you have criminalised farmers for years and now you absolutely must change course. The farmers are not against the environment, but rather are decisive for the protection and development of the territories. Those who work the land cannot stand bureaucratic impositions and ecological follies that put their very survival at risk. In these years we should decide which agri-food strategy the European Union should pursue: a model made of links with tradition or a future of homologated and synthetic products? Europe has also fuelled unfair competition. The rules imposed on European producers must also apply to those who want to sell within the Union. We need reciprocity in imports from third countries and transparency on the label. We need to increase the budget for agriculture, not reduce it. We must defend our traditions, our food culture, starting with the Mediterranean diet, which, incredibly, is under attack.

Madam President, ladies and gentlemen, Madam President von der Leyen, I did not vote for you five years ago and today, listening to you, I repeat that I will not vote for you and I say so with conviction and pride! I was chosen by citizens to bring about change in Europe, not to support those who have been the protagonist of five years of disasters. He made a speech using only verbs to the future: We'll do, we'll do. I would like to inform you that you have already been President of the Commission for five years and the citizens have already judged you in the elections. The same citizens who are calling for a less ideological Europe that is closer to their needs. In his speech he proposes the same identical policies of the last five years: disastrous policies, starting with New Green Deal, with choices that put entire production chains in crisis. European citizens have asked for a change and how do you respond? With the same faces and the same policies. A logic of the perch, of the bunkers, embodied by its re-application. You failed. You, Ursula von der Leyen, failed. You are not the answer to Europe's problems, you are the cause.

Mr President, ladies and gentlemen, with the eco-follies of recent years you are financing the decline of Europe. Your absurd laws for ecological transition are forcing us to stop investing in what makes us autonomous, to support everything that makes us dependent on countries like China or others. Electric car, solar panels, heat pumps: technology that is not in our hands. With houses green You want to squeeze the poorest who will pay for a breakthrough that will have no effect. Your ideology also kills our agri-food, opening up to imports from abroad, imposing the rest of the land and authorizing the production and sale of synthetic meat and fish. Your green policies destroy agriculture and industry. Do you want to understand or not? The future of our continent is at stake in the upcoming European elections. Only with the defeat of the Greens and the Left will Europe be saved.

Mr President, ladies and gentlemen, you are right to talk about the horror of violence against women that is to be fought, but you do nothing to counter the plight of millions of women oppressed by the Islamic veil. A veil that too often is worn even by girls not yet developed. That is why I have tabled a resolution to Parliament urging the Commission to call on the Member States to ban the Islamic headscarf in schools. In Europe, this instrument of submission must be opposed, not promoted in a positive way, as you do. It is our duty to make a cultural battle to defend our values, our freedom, to guarantee the rights of women and girls, defending them from shameful impositions. I reiterate this forcefully: The Islamic veil is a prison for women and those who deny it slap the many women who can not take that veil off, can not live freely dressing as they want. We need a breakthrough in Europe. We don't have to submit. We ban the Islamic veil in schools.

(IT) Mr President, ladies and gentlemen, several times in this mandate we have discussed the attacks of the police, but in the sense of those that the police do against people, never what men and women in uniform have to suffer every day while they serve to ensure the safety of all. Mr President, ladies and gentlemen, your dream is Islamic Europe. The European Union, in fact, continues to propose in institutional communications and on social media women with an Islamic veil. The last one concerns the Commission which, to promote gender equality and the empowerment of girls, uses in two images on three girls with headscarves. I repeat: girls. It's disgraceful! In France, a principal had to resign after receiving death threats for asking to remove a student's veil, as French law indicates. Also in France, a 13-year-old girl was beaten to death by her peers because she did not wear a veil. The role of women in Islamic communities is well represented in the images that in Italy, in Rome, have forced them into a fence, in prayer for the end of Ramadan, even in a public square. In Italy there are many women who suffer violence because they dare not put on the veil. Do you want to understand or not that the Islamization we see in Europe is a danger? Enough of your submission to Islam!

Mr President, ladies and gentlemen, you are hypocrites, your position on women who are oppressed for religious reasons is becoming increasingly embarrassing. Express solidarity with Afghan women, but do not say that the violence is the result of sharia and Islamic fundamentalism imposed by the Taliban. Women in Afghanistan cannot work, they cannot study, they cannot move freely, they must ask their husband's permission, in short, they cannot be free. In this context, you promote the Islamic veil, as a positive symbol of integration, in the institutional communications of the European institutions. Not only that, but continue to promote Islamization in our cities. Enough, enough, enough with your ambiguity! Enough of your submission! Long live freedom! Is that really the image of women you want to see in Europe? I don't.

(IT) Mr President, ladies and gentlemen, the entire Italian motorcycle and car sector contributes 0.4% of the world's CO2 emissions. With this Euro 7 measure, you are calling for more investment and new costs, which will end up on consumers; it is already estimated that costs per car will increase by around EUR 2 000. Pollutant emissions in Europe and the United States have plummeted: More than half of our energy is already produced from sources with a low environmental impact. Without China, India and other Asian countries, emissions from the rest of the world would have fallen by as much as 419 million tonnes. With what courage, then, do the left and the Greens point the finger at European businesses and citizens, bringing production to its knees and impoverishing families? Europe is responsible for a meagre 8% of global emissions and, at the same time, it is clear that some countries do not want to adapt to the European line, indeed even coal-fired power plants are increasing in China. So why do you continue to do evil to Europe? Why do you want to impose economic suicide on us? Your fundamentalism green It is a ruin for everyone.

Madam President, ladies and gentlemen, the report on human rights and democracy in the world and on European Union policy contains some passages that leave us, frankly, perplexed. Highlight the role of NGOs, which you believe are threatened by national security and terrorism laws. There is no mention of the fact that, through their activities, they promote illegal immigration, which you do not oppose but rather promote. You also talk about defending human rights and women's freedom: but totally censor the problem of the many women of Muslim faith oppressed for religious reasons or because they dare not wear the Islamic veil even in Europe. I take this opportunity to reiterate that the Islamic veil is not a symbol of freedom, but of submission. Talk about violations of freedom of religion around the world. But this Parliament has done little or nothing to counteract the persecution of Christians. Finally, represent the activists. green as key figures, even victims of persecution. You also speak of "ecocide" as an international crime. In short, we are fed up with documents full of unacceptable ideological and extreme leftist passages. Think about the important things.

Mr President, ladies and gentlemen, in a context in which you criminalise farmers and penalise our producers, fortunately this text enhances the specific characteristics of agri-food products, increasing the adoption of geographical indications. Unfortunately, as is well known, Italian quality products are often subject to counterfeiting practices. A negative phenomenon that risks being further pushed by free trade agreements with non-European countries, such as Mercosur, with the danger of seeing European quality products coexist with bad copies on local markets. That is why Europe must once again defend our productions.

Mr President, ladies and gentlemen, Mr Lagarde, I understand that you do not have a mortgage to pay; However, European citizens are no longer able to pay their mortgage instalments. Who benefits from these absurd decisions? Among other things, they are not only problems for families, because even companies have a serious problem of access to credit, even what is needed for cash flows, for the liquidity necessary for business operations. I do not believe that his attitude, that of the ECB, is in the interest of growth. With your "horse care", investment has fallen and Europe has fallen into recession. You have completely wronged the cure against inflation: your mortgage tightening did not help the economy but produced the crisis in continental Europe: A true masterpiece, I would say. Stop, please, stop!

Madam President, ladies and gentlemen, I find it frankly disconcerting that a debate on growing anti-Semitism has been extended to Islamophobia so as not to hurt Muslim communities. For the umpteenth time, the European Union is bending. While we see continuous demonstrations in European cities, often in unacceptable tones, pro-terrorist Hamas, you can say that there is an anti-Muslim hatred or, as the Secretary-General of the United Nations has said, a worldwide epidemic of Islamophobia. The truth is that it is the Jews who are afraid to turn in the street for fear of violence by Islamic extremists. What Islamophobia are you talking about? In the world, rather, persecution of Christians is increasing and in Europe there is a serious backsliding on freedoms, with teachers and principals killed or threatened. I myself am under escort in Italy because I dared to express my opinion on the Islamic veil, on the condition of women and on Islamization on our continent. Out of fear or interest you are doing everything to erase our traditions, our history and our identity. We are facing the suicide of the West, the surrender of Europe, the one that promotes the Islamic veil in its communications and cancels our holidays. You are betraying the values of the European Union to bring us to a dramatic future of an Islamised Europe. You are destroying the automobile industry, without understanding that we will become a branch of China, on which we already depend today for batteries and rare earths. 50% of the electric cars manufactured in the world and 75% of the batteries are manufactured by China, which produces them using coal-fired power plants, which are increasing and not decreasing. Well, what can I say: Congratulations on this gigantic gift.

Mr President, you have been beating farmers for years. You have destroyed the work of those who break their backs every day in the fields. You criminalized farmers and ranchers. You welcomed them with barbed wire outside the European Parliament in Brussels. You painted them as enemies of the climate. You even wanted to equate farms with industrial plants. Push for farmers to leave their land uncultivated, condemning them to the crisis and the closure of their farms. You prefer non-European products, to which you do not ask for the same standards of food safety and quality that you impose on our producers. It imposes bureaucracy and new costs on those who are already in difficulty. You even want to kill animals because they pollute and you want to put ecological constraints on the pastures. You want labels like , which penalise, for no scientific reason, the excellence of the territories, favouring ultra-processed industrial foods. Ask the farmers for sacrifices, but then finance the synthetic meat and give the OK to the multinationals to spread the food use of crickets and grasshoppers. You have been chasing Greta's slogans for years, finding in agriculture the enemy to be disgraced. Agriculture is life, culture, history, it is the protection of the territory. Now, with this measure you give the industry a treat after making fun of it for years, and only at the end of the term. It's not enough. Farmers are tired of your Eurofollies.

Madam President, ladies and gentlemen, I have read this report on the fundamental rights of the European Union carefully and I must say that it seems to have come out of a meeting of a social centre or a far-left conference. The document states that NGOs are criminalised; speak of disproportionate violence against migrants; you say that there is systemic racism in Europe; Islamophobia and anti-Gypsyism are persistent forms of hatred and discrimination on our continent. Then say that right-wing extremism – and not left-wing extremism – is never to be mentioned! – It poses a particular threat to society. That Roma are discriminated against and that most of them are deprived of basic human rights in all areas of life. Say that the trend of increasing incitement to hatred and violence against LGBTQ+ people persists across Europe. And again, that Europe is concerned about police violence: The one that the police do with violence, not the one they suffer. Police are described as brutal, particularly to the Roma population. There is no mention of Islamic terrorism. You used to talk about restrictions on women's rights, but don't say anything about Islamic women being deprived of their freedom and forced into the veil. Don't say anything about the threats of the extreme left that sympathizes, for example, with Hamas. Nothing about violence against law enforcement. No convictions for human traffickers and for the damage of illegal immigration. The Europe you paint in this document is an insult to the citizens of Europe. Enough with ideology, enough with these pathetic sermons with a communist flavor!

Madam President, ladies and gentlemen, you want Big Brother, you want to set up a series of crimes of opinion to control ideas and limit freedom of expression, you want to appropriate the competences of the Member States to counter positions that you do not like with new rules. Let us be clear, we are in favour of combating the various forms of discrimination and hate crime, and in particular it is right for us to combat bullying in schools and cyberbullying, which are particularly serious phenomena that put children at risk. We would not want, however, under the pretext of preventing crimes, to remove from the web and social networks, for example, news and opinions that are unwelcome to a certain political party. On the other hand, already with the Digital Services Act you have made it clear that, if you are a rebellious voice and not aligned with the unique thought of the left, you can and must be silenced and that you want to be promoters of a model in which the contents of citizens' thoughts are deleted under the pretext of the fight against fake news. I wonder: Who will evaluate what speech can be equated with hate? What will be the topics on which you will no longer be able to express a voice outside the choir? In short, we are afraid of a new gag, with Brussels ready to want to import the Chinese model into Europe too.

Madam President, ladies and gentlemen, you are destroying agriculture and bringing farmers and producers to their knees. The massive protests in Germany are the latest sign of a very negative path for agriculture. Because of what? To your crazy ecological choices. The tractor revolt stems from a vision of agriculture painted as absolute evil and an enemy sector of the environment. You want to limit the cultivated fields, you want to remove subsidies and aid to farms, impose new constraints and costs on the sector, criminalize farmers, even propose the culling of cows to protect the climate. At a time when we should focus on agriculture to ensure food independence, you are waging war on farmers, giving the green light to products from outside Europe, grasshoppers and synthetic meat. Stop it!

Mr President, ladies and gentlemen, emergency fascism! The Black Danger in Europe! Oh, my God, the black shirts are coming back! We are at the comics here in the European Parliament, with this absolutely surreal polemic. And yes, because it is not that we discuss Islamic terrorism, a certain left that goes to the streets with those who praise Hamas, the problems of Europe, but we reduce ourselves to the debate on the alarm terrorism and fascism. So, I understand everything, but the terrorism alarm is a serious thing, the fascism alarm I do not think is a real priority. Among other things, a debate requested by the left that then fails to appear in the Chamber. What is the thesis of the desperate left, without arguments? That fascism already exists and that the outstretched hands are the fault of the Italian government. Total madness. There is democracy in Italy, the one that won the center-right. Resign yourself.
