Madam President, I'm sorry. Commissioner, I'm sorry. Hundreds of thousands of missing children are reported in the European Union every year. Most of them are found within a day of disappearance, but some, unfortunately, are lost for years. This is a huge blow for loved ones who, despite the passage of time, hope to see their own daughter or son again. Children across Europe die under different circumstances and for different reasons. Most often, they are escaping from a house where something bad is happening, sometimes violence dominates. But children also disappear as a result of kidnappings. They disappear in emergencies such as war or migration. The data in this regard is merciless. I would just like to remind you that after the migration wave in 2015, 10,000 children went missing in the European Union. Unfortunately, history can also repeat itself in the case of unaccompanied children who are fleeing Ukraine. May is International Missing Children's Day. Its symbol is the flower of forgetfulness. These are the names of children who went missing a few, a dozen or even several dozen years ago, and to this day it is not known what happened to them. This raises fundamental questions: Should we develop a system of protection, support and search for minors that already exists? Can it try to build a single EU system with common procedures and closer cooperation between the relevant services? I believe that these solutions are not exclusive, but should be complementary. Intensive action is needed at both national and EU level. Finally, I will say the obvious. Remember that those close to you are still waiting for you.

Mr President, thank you very much. In Europe, 9 million young people live with mental disorders. Suicide is the second leading cause of death among young people. Approximately 1,200 young people in Europe commit suicide every year. There is a second, equally helpless social group. These are the elderly, the elderly. Sometimes living in suffering, poverty. They leave their farewell letters, asking their family for forgiveness. They leave a note by the bed and say they've just paid all their current bills. They leave their bank account numbers. They leave in silence. They're committing suicide. They were waiting for our help, not only national, but also European. They were waiting for our help, which did not reach them in time. If our reaction to these terrible facts ends only in this debate, then we will be able to say that it will only get worse. I am counting on you, Commissioner, and I know that you, not only professionally, but also as a very sensitive person, will do everything to relieve these two social groups in particular.
