Effectiveness of the EU sanctions on Russia (debate)
Dear Mr President, First of all, the purpose of the sanctions, the purpose of the sanctions from the very beginning, was to weaken the Russian war machine, to milk it out of the money, and that an ordinary citizen of Russia would also feel how painful it is to start occupation and war against his neighboring country and to kill children and women there. Unfortunately, today's fact is that we are buying more LNG than before the war. The fact is that every month Europe continues to pay more than two billion euros for Russian oil. The fact is that every day large trucks continue to drive European cars to Russian markets through Eastern European countries. And the fact is that many European political leaders have been involved in Russian business during the war, such as the Estonian prime minister through his wife, which is very immoral. But unfortunately no war has been won by sanctions, especially in the case of Russia, because we think that if a Russian citizen suffers, he will start a revolution against the Kremlin, but not. A Russian citizen is willing to live in a toilet, suffer the last drop and starve to build a Russian empire. And that means that the war can only be won with weapons, tanks and fighters that we have not continued to give enough. This is the way to win the war.
