One-minute speeches on matters of political importance
Mr President, thank you very much. Here in the European Parliament, I would like to ask you if you have heard about the defamation of journalists, entering private homes, entering TV stations under the pretext of denunciations, often anonymous? Didn't you hear that? It's just not talked about in the mainstream. And in Poland we are dealing with, you could say, a mass scale of this type of situation. Even the editor-in-chief was able to enter, in today's largest commercial news television in Poland. It is also a consequence of the fact that the European Commission did not react earlier to the violation of the law that took place in Poland. Unfortunately, today the government is completely helpless or even arrogantly reacts to this situation. And this is the result of these actions of the European Commission. I do not expect any reaction from you, I expect some reflection, I do not even count on it, I expect shame for the fact that you supported those people who today act in this way in Poland.
