Pending approval of the Hungarian national plan for Security Action for Europe (SAFE) funding in light of persistent concerns around the allocation of public funding (debate)
Madam President, I'm sorry. You're making fun of us, Hungarians of good will. They insult us, they insult my countrymen, they insult my country. Driven by hatred, they formulate all kinds of blatant lies. They did the same thing before 2014, and then we won by two-thirds in the 14th election. They did the same thing before 2018, and we won by two-thirds. They did the same thing before 2022, and we won by two-thirds. Now they're doing the same thing again, we're going to win by at least two-thirds. You hate Viktor Orbán more than you love your own country, you love your fellow citizens as much as you love Europe. It is more important for you to blackmail Hungary politically than to strengthen Europe's defence capabilities. And last but not least, you come here again, to the plenary session of the European Parliament, and you want to tell us how we Hungarians should live. It's not for you to decide. This will be decided by the Hungarians of their own free will, even if they turn their heads upside down.

Implementation of the rule of law conditionality regime (debate)
Madam President, I'm sorry. Today's debate is not about the rule of law, today's debate is once again a brutal political attack on Hungary. This agenda is about how the European elite, the Brussels bureaucracy and, of course, their representatives in Hungary can formulate all kinds of rudeness based on lies. This was a fine example when, of course, the President of the Democratic Coalition once again used his speech in the European Parliament to motivate his own country. But let's talk about the point. The rule of law is a talk, a fairy tale with foam. In reality, it is about ideological and political dictates in Brussels, about extending their power and economic influence by all means and at all costs. But, dear fellow Members, in Central Europe there are not colonies of Brussels bureaucrats, but sovereign nation-states, free people, free countries, free nations. For us, European cooperation does not mean subordination, but that everyone is free to go their own way without external interference. We decide our own affairs, based on our own historical, cultural and constitutional traditions. In a word, we are a hundred sovereigns, and if you turn your head, it will still be that way.
Preparation of the European Council meeting of 18-19 December 2025, in particular the need to support Ukraine, transatlantic relations and the EU’s strategic autonomy (debate)
Madam President, I'm sorry. Here is a quote: "Our European strategy, in the name of transatlantic unity, replicated the pro-war policy of the US. I can say for sure, however, that shortly after President Trump's election victory, he will not wait until his inauguration, but will be ready to act as a peace mediator immediately. I am confident that in the probable outcome of President Trump's victory, the proportion of the financial burden between the US and the EU will change significantly to the detriment of the EU when it comes to providing financial support to Ukraine." End of quote. A year and a half ago, Viktor Orbán wrote these lines to the President of the European Council following his peace mission. Had European decision-makers listened to the peace initiative, hundreds of thousands of people would not have died in war hell and the European Union would not have burned nearly 200 billion euros in the war in Ukraine. Let's put things back in place. Brussels still wants the war in Ukraine to continue. In addition, the war madness in Brussels has reached a new level. The people of Europe want peace. Therefore, in line with the pro-peace Hungarian position, Hungary does not support the adventurous idea of confiscating frozen Russian assets, which threatens Europe with an unforeseeable economic and financial blow, and does not participate in EU borrowing that serves the war. We don't send money and weapons to Ukraine.

Presentation of the Court of Auditors' annual report 2024 (debate)
Mr. President, please. In preparation for today's debate in the European Parliament, I have reviewed the last ten annual reports of the European Court of Auditors. Between 2015 and 2024, the European Court of Auditors refers to Hungary 137 times in its annual reports. This figure shows that when the use of EU funds is examined objectively in Hungary on the basis of facts, Hungary is in the middle of the EU Member States in terms of the number of findings. Twelve countries are mentioned by the Court many times in these reports, for example Greece of the same size as Hungary is mentioned 219 times. But in addition to quantitative analysis, let's look at qualitative. Of the 137 statements, 15 are critical. Let me add at once that there are 10 other findings of the European Court of Auditors which set the practice in Hungary as an example and which make positive findings. The European Court of Auditors' report is a black day for Members of the European Parliament who abuse Hungary. It is clear that if someone objectively examines the use of funds in Hungary based on the facts, does not create political hysteria, does not persecute witches, then the truth is that in Hungary European Union funds are also used in an orderly manner. The European Court of Auditors states this.
Discharge 2023: EU general budget – European Council and Council (A10-0167/2025 - Joachim Stanisław Brudziński) (vote)
Madam President, dear colleagues, I would like to present the oral amendment: 'Recognises the effort of the Hungarian government in hosting the upcoming Budapest Peace Summit as a constructive contribution to dialogue and stability in Europe; acknowledges that such initiatives demonstrate Hungary's commitment to fostering peace and cooperation within the Union and beyond; therefore considers that the Hungarian Council Presidency's activities should not be interpreted as misconduct, but rather as complementary efforts aligned with the Union's overarching objective of peace and dialogue, fully respecting the Treaties and the role of Member States in foreign policy.'
General budget of the European Union for the financial year 2026 – all sections (debate)
Mr. President, please. We need a pro-peace budget and a point. However, the pro-war majority in the European Commission and the EP also supports the continuation of the war through the 2026 EU budget. Pro-war forces have already burned 180 billion euros for the war in Ukraine. The Hungarian opposition, Tisza and DK, support these war expenses, and even applaud with enthusiasm. On the contrary, the overwhelming majority of Europeans and Hungarians want peace, they do not want to add soldiers, money or weapons to this war. Enough with the war plans in Brussels. Europeans and Hungarians do not want illegal migration either. Either way, the migration pact has failed badly. The catastrophic migrant policing policy supported by Tisza and DK is a direct consequence of the rise in anti-Semitism, terrorism and violent crime in Europe. In addition, the European Commission is brazenly trying to spend billions of euros in 2026 to politically finance the Brussels corruption network, fake NGOs and liberal media outlets that are blatantly attacking Member States' sovereignty. And after Brussels expelled the vast majority of Hungarian students from the Erasmus+ programme as political blackmail and completely illegally, now the Hungarian government wants to ban the successful Pannónia scholarship programme. This is disgraceful!
The EU’s role in supporting the recent peace efforts for Gaza and a two-state solution (debate)
Allow me, Madam Member, once again to draw your attention to the following: Today, two years ago, there was a brutal act of terrorism that shocked every well-meaning person in the world. Hamas terrorists have invaded Israel, killing more than 1,000 people in a barbaric massacre. Israel is fighting this terrorist organization in the name of self-defense, and I think we have a duty to support this Israeli effort.
The EU’s role in supporting the recent peace efforts for Gaza and a two-state solution (debate)
Dear Mr President, Two years ago, Hamas terrorists invaded Israel and indiscriminately attacked innocent people. Whole families were exterminated, women, children, infants, the elderly became victims of the barbaric massacre. The bloodiest anti-Jewish attack since the Holocaust shook the world at the time. It is our duty to call this evil evil by its name. It is our duty to say that Hamas is a despicable and cruel terrorist organization. Hamas is not fighting for the Palestinian people, it is fighting for its own power. The goal of Hamas is the destruction of Jews and Israel. They carry out their bloody terrorist attacks by hiding behind civilians and launching rockets from schools and hospitals. The world has also been flooded with manipulative reporting from Hamas' propaganda machine. This is the fake news A campaign to turn a victim into a sinner and a murderer into a victim. In reality, Israel is forced into legitimate self-defense. Israel is not fighting against the Palestinian people, but against terrorists, terror and genocide. Anyone who doubts this is on the side of the terrorists.
Cohesion policy (joint debate)
Answer to a ‘blue card question’. Dear Member, This is where Ursula von der Leyen stood, saying that, contrary to what was said when the rule of law procedure was initiated, the European Commission will not give Hungary the funds due because Hungary refuses to let in illegal migrants. Yes, we refuse to let them in despite political blackmail and because we protect Hungarian children from gender sensitisers. Budapest received EU funding for all existing developments. Ask the mayor of the capital and the mayors of the district. Any statement to the contrary is a lie.
Cohesion policy (joint debate)
Dear Madam President, Let's talk about the point. It is unacceptable that in recent years Brussels has used the disbursement of cohesion funds as a tool of political blackmail. The European Union is not an authoritarian regime. The EU cannot function in such a way that the Brusselsites use the word power to say, define, command, and use rule of law procedures to force Hungarians to live their lives. The sovereignty of the Member States and the freedom of nations cannot be undermined by EU financial instruments. Out of the current multiannual framework budget, only around a tenth of the money allocated to European regions, EUR 40 billion, has been disbursed, whereas the war in Ukraine has already been supported by more than EUR 165 billion. But now you want more than that. Ursula von der Leyen proposes a budget that would send 20-25 % of EU funds to Ukraine. It is unacceptable that you want to take the money from Europeans to give it to Ukraine. In addition, to further finance the war and accelerate Ukraine's accession to the EU, Europe would again be indebted to joint EU borrowing. We Hungarians thank you, but we do not want Brussels to indebt us, and even our children and grandchildren, by borrowing together. We don't want the gigantic borrowing in Brussels, the debt slavery.
The EU’s post-2027 long-term budget: Parliament’s expectations ahead of the Commission’s proposal (debate)
Dear Madam President, We heard boringly well-known blossoms about the new budget: efficient, flexible, strategic, simple, transparent, ambitious. The whole empty blah, net scam. Let's take a look at what Brussels bureaucrats are really up to. 1. The new IMF is intended for a war budget. Brussels wants to dedicate 20-25 percent of the EU budget to Ukraine. On the other hand, joint EU borrowing has created huge debt, so you will have to spend an additional 20-25 percent of the multiannual budget on debt repayment. Brussels plans brutal austerity, cuts agricultural and cohesion subsidies by 20 percent, and imposes huge new taxes. What is more, they want to introduce a highly centralised EU budgetary system and make political blackmail total. What Brussels is about to do is contrary to the interests of European citizens and is therefore completely unacceptable.
EU support for a just, sustainable and comprehensive peace in Ukraine (debate)
Madam President, I'm sorry. Today we have heard from Ursula von der Leyen that Brussels bureaucrats are pushing war doctrine at all costs. They are not interested in Ukraine, they are not interested in the fate of the Ukrainians, they want to play a ‘great power’ and they want to win the war militarily at any cost. The idea of accelerating Ukraine's accession is in fact the latest chapter in Brussels' war psychosis. The accelerated accession of Ukraine is not about enlargement, it is not about peace, but Brussels, after financing the war, wants to become a direct belligerent. The people of Europe, on the other hand, still want peace, not war. Europeans are not asking for accelerated Ukrainian accession to the EU with disastrous economic consequences. We Hungarians will not allow decisions to be made over our heads in Brussels. We are not afraid to ask the opinion of the people, which is why we are holding an opinion poll in Hungary on the accelerated accession of Ukraine.
Recent legislative changes in Hungary and their impact on fundamental rights (debate)
Dear Mr President, Today is the 1001st debate on Hungary in the European Parliament. While Europe has been overrun by illegal migrants, the competitiveness of Europe's national economies is in ruins, and inflation and energy prices are skyrocketing due to a misguided sanctions policy, you are able to pass the tide of time with another piecemeal political charade attacking Hungary. It's as frivolous as it is tragic. Instead of their angry outbursts, their rudenesses, their lies, let's look at the facts. Hungarian democracy and the rule of law thank you very much, they are fine. The protection of the best interests of the child has received further constitutional confirmation in Hungary, which is correct. The right of children to healthy physical and mental development should be a priority. The depiction of sexuality as an end in itself is prohibited. The Hungarian solution is exemplary. Hungary is as free to protest as any other country in Europe. People are still free to express their opinions at demonstrations held in the framework of the full enjoyment of the right of assembly. In a word, if every week a Hungarian debate is held, if every month European Parliament resolutions defaming Hungary are adopted – so if they are turned upside down – we will still defend our freedom, defend our national sovereignty, protect our children, reject illegal migration and stick to peace, because that is the will of the Hungarians.
Presentation of the proposal on a new common approach on returns (debate)
Madam President, I'm sorry. Because of Brussels, Europe is invaded by migrants. In 2015, George Soros announced: Every year, 1 million illegal migrants are allowed to enter Europe. Let's see a miracle: Over the past nine years, 9 million illegal migrants have arrived. Brussels has humbly implemented the Soros Plan and wants to continue to do so, which is why they pushed through the disastrous migration pact, which further encourages illegal immigration and penalises Member States that protect their borders. European citizens, on the other hand, want the immediate halt of mass illegal immigration and the protection of borders. People want their safe lives back in Europe. It is time to regain control of our borders against Brussels. Illegal migrants are not allowed into Europe. Preventing the entry of illegal migrants at the external borders of the Union and reversing them immediately, without delay or objection is an appropriate practice of return.
European Council meetings and European security (joint debate)
Madam President, I'm sorry. In Europe people want peace, in America people want peace. The patriotic leadership of the United States is committed to peace. European leaders want to continue the war. It's more than a crime. That's a mistake. So far, Ukraine's strategy has failed. The incitement of European leaders to war, the loud rhetoric, the sure success of the sanctions policy, the bringing of the Russian aggressor to his military knees have already meant that 134 billion euros have been spent on war, and all this has brought only economic trouble, destruction and suffering. Pro-war people even ride the dead horse the other way around. Donald Trump has made it clear that America will step out of the war and make peace. So, when the Americans no longer need their proxy war, the pro-war leaders want to force this discarded American war hacika on Europe. After billions of euros spent so far, they want to finance the massacre in Ukraine with any amount of money. Instead of the U.S., and even to prevent U.S. peace efforts. In addition, the leaders of Brussels are increasing the trouble, they are overcoming it by mantrating Ukraine's accelerated accession to the EU, which would directly destroy the European economy. This war must be brought to an end and can only be brought to an end through negotiations.
Commission Work Programme 2025 (debate)
Hungary, the Hungarian Government and the Government of Viktor Orbán have been using the technical and legal border closure tool since 2015. You in the European Parliament and the European Commission have constantly attacked us for this. The result of this technical border closure, the border fence, was that we were able to stop 1 million illegal migrants. There would be more than 1 million illegal migrants, and we have arrested 2 000 smugglers, convicted them and expelled them from the European Union in order to carry out their sentences. We did the right thing.
Commission Work Programme 2025 (debate)
Dear Madam President, European citizens want to immediately stop mass illegal immigration and protect borders so that an average of one million illegal migrants do not enter Europe every year. Europeans do not want illegal immigrants to be allowed to kill, so that terrorists with a migrant background can slaughter innocent people. People want their safe lives back in Europe. And what does the European Commission want to do about it? It continues to call for an accelerated implementation of the disastrous migration pact. Europeans want peace, Brussels' so far Ukraine strategy is a complete failure. Due to the disastrous sanctions policy in Brussels, energy prices have gone up. And what does the European Commission plan to do? After spending 134 billion euros so far, he still wants to finance the war in Ukraine with any amount of money. In recent years, Brussels has sent an ideologically driven, venomous green declaration of war to farmers, and misguided EU regulations are destroying actors in the sector. What is the Commission's proposal for this? More poison-green ideologies. More Green Deals. Dismantling the well-functioning European agricultural funding so far. The people have had enough of the successive failures in Brussels, of the left-wing liberal lyrics. The world has changed. Changes are also needed in Brussels.
Presentation of the programme of activities of the Polish Presidency (debate)
Dear Madam President, We have to tell the truth: In Poland, Tusk's power systematically destroys the rule of law and democracy. Poland has a dictatorship. In Donald Tusk's dictatorship, political persecution is being persecuted by those who think differently than those in power. It's an open and brutal political persecution. Brussels' reaction to the current rule of law crisis in Poland shows the double standards of EU leaders. If a tenth of what has happened in Poland in the past year were to happen in Hungary, then Ursula von der Leyen would already be making a proposal to send peacekeeping forces. But now the leaders of the European Union remain silent, or even enthusiastically welcome the disintegration of the rule of law and democracy and the use of police force. This beautiful new liberal world, the dictatorship of Wrong. Many Polish patriots are forced to flee again. We, patriotic Hungarians, can be counted on by all our Polish democrat friends. Anyone who is forced to flee their country because of political persecution can count on Hungary. As was the case in such situations before. We will welcome Polish politically persecuted people and, if necessary, we will grant them political asylum, because they know that "Polish Hungarians are two good friends who fight together and drink their wine".
Preparation of the European Council of 19-20 December 2024 (debate)
Madam President, I'm sorry. The work of the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the EU is slowly coming to an end, providing an opportunity to summarise the results. Firstly: the serious success of the Hungarian Presidency and a frank confrontation with the serious crisis symptoms of the Union. Migration crisis, escalating debt crisis, declining economic competitiveness, massive war inflation due to a flawed sanctions policy, to name but a few. Second: the Hungarian Presidency has concluded the EU Competitiveness Pact. So we have a plan to get out of the economic crisis. Thirdly: The accession of Romania and Bulgaria to the Schengen Area is a historic achievement. This is a major step towards strengthening the unity of the Union. Fourthly: the enlargement process in the Western Balkans has been lifted from the deadlock. This is a major step towards a strong Europe. And finally, for the fifth time: The Hungarian prime minister has finally made substantial diplomatic efforts to achieve a truce in Ukraine. Despite the constant scrubbing by the left-wing majority in the European Parliament, it is therefore an ambitious Presidency, an encouraging European success.
The devastating floods in Spain, the urgent need to support the victims, to improve preparedness and to fight the climate crisis (debate)
I would like to express my condolences to the families of the victims of the severe floods in Spain and to all those affected by the natural disaster. Hungary, the Hungarian government and Hungary Helps immediately offered emergency assistance to help the victims of the disaster through our charitable program. Obviously, the most important task is to reduce and prevent further damage and to restore it as soon as possible. At the same time, it is essential to examine the causes of this appalling catastrophe. This area of Valencia has long been identified as flood-prone for many decades, but despite this, adequate flood protection infrastructure has not been built. It is an obvious fact, an undeniable fact, that the Spanish government has not done its job and has failed to prepare the region's water infrastructure to withstand floods of this magnitude.
Presentation of the programme of activities of the Hungarian Presidency (debate)
Dear Madam President, For a few minutes, the EPP's Péter Magyar was present here. A man in Hungarian trouble. He's mentally in trouble because, according to his own account, he was secretly listening in on his wife. In their common home, he secretly recorded the mother of his children to blackmail him. Normal people don't do that. In fair company, they look through such a man and make no political alliance with him. Péter Magyar is mentally in trouble because he emotionally and spiritually abused both his wife and his partner. What he did was a textbook example of domestic violence. But Magyar is already in legal trouble because he committed a common crime. At a nightclub, he raped a guest who was filming him, stole his phone, and threw it into the Danube. Péter Magyar is in trouble, so he behaves aggressively, and that is why he wants to hide behind his immunity from criminal prosecution. At least you don't have to be accomplices in this.
Continued financial and military support to Ukraine by EU Member States (debate)
Oh, Mr. President. The war in Ukraine has been raging for more than two and a half years. EU leaders have been promising an end to the war for almost two years, but we are not one step closer to the end of the conflict. We see incredible destruction. More than half a million people have been killed, and the Ukrainian state and economy are in ruins. The flawed sanctions policy has caused serious damage to European economies. It is time to admit that the war strategy of the Western leaders, the Brussels bureaucrats, has failed. European leaders have dug themselves into this war as if it were their war, the war of the European Union. This led to a pro-war Europe. We need to get out of this. Sending immeasurable amounts of EU money and weapons to Ukraine has not brought the war to an end, and the use of Western weapons on Russian territory threatens to cause real and serious escalation. Brussels is constantly supporting the war, both financially and militarily. Instead of a failed war strategy, a different path is needed: a resumption of communication between the parties, diplomatic contact, then a ceasefire, and then peace negotiations. The war must end, and we must make efforts for peace here, also in the European Parliament.
