The next item on the agenda is the debate on the Commission statement on EU-US relations in the light of the outcome of the presidential elections in the United States (2024/2904(RSP)).

The next item is the debate on the Commission statement on the effective and holistic management of migration through increased returns (2024/2882(RSP)).

The next item on the agenda is the debate on the Commission statement on terrorism promoted by the Islamic Republic of Iran in the context of the recent attacks in Europe (2024/2872(RSP)). We will wait until the Commissioner arrives. Ms Dalli took the floor on behalf of the Vice-President of the Commission and the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

The next item is the short presentation of the report by Georgios Aftias, on behalf of the Committee on Budgets, on the mobilisation of the European Union Solidarity Fund to provide assistance to Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Greece and France in relation to six natural disasters in 2023 (COM(2024)0325 – C10-0088/2024 – 2024/0212(BUD)) (A10-0002/2024).

The next vote is on the devastating floods in Central and Eastern Europe, the loss of lives and the EU’s preparedness to act on such disasters exacerbated by climate change (See minutes, item 7.7).
