High time to deliver on the Single Market, providing certainty and predictability for EU businesses and quality jobs (continuation of debate)
Madam President, I'm sorry. Today I will tell you what European entrepreneurs, Polish entrepreneurs need from this Chamber. Certainly not debates. Definitely not another declaration. They need a single market that works. More than half of Polish entrepreneurs point to bureaucracy as the biggest barrier. And I will mention only two problems, very important and those for which we have a solution. Polish companies register the company separately in each country in which they want to operate. They are wasting time on bureaucracy instead of growing. Solution: We want one digital registration, valid immediately in all 27 countries. Polish companies send over 700,000 employees abroad every year and drown in papers. Solution: posting a worker in the Union can be much simpler, one application form valid throughout the Union instead of separate procedures in each country to which the Polish team travels. Next, the barriers to trade with services are really higher today than the tariffs that we abolished a decade ago, so we have to abolish them just as consistently, industry by industry. Any new EU law must start with a question: How much does it cost a company, a Polish company, a French company, a Slovenian company? This is our common European issue.
