Many citizens in Germany look to Denmark with envy, but also with hope, because they have achieved what our government has not been able to do so far. With your consistent migration policy, you protect your country's national identity and social cohesion. This model must become a model for Germany and for the whole of Europe in order to preserve our culture and our security – all the respect of our ESN Group for this. But we also hear disturbing things. Denmark's plans for EU-wide chat control and countering so-called misinformation are an attack on civil liberties. Their Danish Islam law was a submission, and monitoring private chats and censorship of unwelcome opinions threatens democracy at its core. Child protection yes, but under this guise our fundamental rights must not be undermined. Please ensure that, in addition to security, freedom also becomes a guiding star of your Presidency. Then we wish you every success.

Madam President, The left-wing parties in this House theatrically condemn what they call the genocide of Israel in Gaza. The truth is: Israel is taking action in Gaza against a terrorist organization that is abusing its own population as a shield and which in turn is openly announcing genocide against the Jews. Madam President, Choose Europe for Science. Why should young scientists do this? But only if they make themselves an accomplice to the political life lie of our elites that Europe still stands for excellence, academic freedom and prosperity. Only then will we restore excellence, and then the pathetic words of Macron and von der Leyen on the Sorbonne, which were indeed very beautiful, but unfortunately hypocritical, will again correspond to the truth.

Madam President, So on April 28th at 12:35 pm local time it happened: Great blackout all over Spain and Portugal, also in parts of France. A few days earlier, the Spanish government had proudly announced that the country's entire electricity supply was now renewable. The result: central infrastructures such as trains, airports, telecommunications and payment systems paralyzed, an estimated €5 billion in damage, 35,000 stranded passengers had to be evacuated from trains and tunnels. How many had to stay in elevators for hours? How many deaths may have occurred in hospitals? The electricity from solar and wind power is extremely volatile. In the case of overproduction, as on Monday, there is a frequency drop. And if the surplus electricity cannot be exported abroad because the grids are overloaded there, the system automatically shuts down so that the infrastructure is not destroyed. These physical relationships are known. They can't be changed either. It had been warned by experts for years. Nevertheless, the Spanish government denies the causes and the EU Commission continues to rely on ideology instead of science and reason. If safe coal, gas and nuclear power plants continue to be shut down in the climate change craze, as is happening on a large scale in Germany, then not only does this mean enormous environmental destruction – one can look at the landscapes paved by solar panels and wind turbines – we will soon have the blackout all over Europe. What we need is a move away from the failed energy transition. There is nothing to be gained from questions of solidarity in the crisis and sustainable electricity supply, dear Commission.

Madam President, so the Trump administration in the United States is threatening academic freedom? This claim by the European Commission and some MEPs here is pure hypocrisy. Where was the outcry from the EU and the academia in Europe when more and more non-leftist scientists in the US were dismissed or forced to resign by their radical colleagues and the left-wing student mob simply because they didn't bow to the woke ideology? Bret Weinstein, Joseph Manson and Mike Adams even committed suicide. The wokeness virus has taken over US academia and in Europe it's also widespread, including its cancel culture. If President Trump now takes action against the intolerant and unscientific gender ideology, if he stops DEI programmes that discriminate white people and also restricts the dogmatic, almost religious climate research, then he's taking measures that help restore scientific freedom, not suppress it. We need such measures in Europe too.

Mr President! Wherever the EU has its hands at stake, bureaucracy, centralisation, equalisation and regular reporting obligations for those affected, as well as creeping infiltration with EU ideologies such as climate rescue, genderism, diversity etc. The economy groaning under EU requirements can sing a song about it, and education policy is no different. We therefore do not trust the fine words with which a European school alliance is now to be established. Pupil mobility – similar to Erasmus+ student mobility – teacher training and career opportunities, lifelong learning: Everything sounds wonderful, but is bought dearly, namely by the dismantling of the national educational traditions, also the dismantling of the quality and the gradual loss of national sovereignty in the sense of the ever closer union. The fundamental contradiction of this approach is particularly clear: On the one hand, we celebrate European diversity and at the same time do everything we can to eliminate it and to introduce the same standards, the same thinking and the same results everywhere. And as soon as the EU has a foot in the door with subsidies, it will also punish anyone who does not meet its targets – it is safe to assume. School outcomes are increasingly catastrophic. In Germany, a quarter of children cannot read and write properly after primary school. Nevertheless, more and more people are allowed to go to high school, and 30% will then receive a university entrance qualification – not only the euro is inflationary, but also the school grades. The EU's recipes such as more inclusion and so-called gender equality will not remedy this misery. They only reinforce national misdevelopments, which, for example, have made the German school system an anti-performance comfort zone and a playground for educational ideologues. What we need is a return to the performance principle and to a differentiated education, depending on the talents of the children, which are also very different. Then there will also be something with the much-vaunted European competitiveness, without any EU centralism.

Mr President! None other than out of the EU – this is the opinion of around 270,000 highly qualified people who leave Germany every year, mainly in the USA and Switzerland. As a replacement, we have brought hundreds of thousands of low to non-qualified people into the country since 2015, directly into our welfare systems. The Commission now wants to encourage the return of talented people who have emigrated and defines targets for the planned economy. Why would a truly highly qualified person choose Germany, where an exorbitant tax burden awaits him, which will rise even further due to unrestrained government borrowing and the unrestrained printing of money by the ECB? What is Germany supposed to do, what is the EU supposed to make attractive for real talents if they have to be afraid of knife attacks and attacks there on the street and if now also EU-wide to the war against the neighboring nuclear power Russia is being upgraded? It was rightly recognised that we need more STEM students and more engineers, but then everything is wiped out again by quotas for women and other requirements, and the many hundreds of gender professorships across Europe, which ensure a restrictive intellectual climate, are happily further promoted. Madam President, President Trump signs a decree to protect freedom of expression in the United States. And the EU's response: Even more censorship. Is this still fear or is it already panic of the responsible citizen? This is not how democracies act, this is how regimes act. We are witnessing the introduction of an EUSR, ladies and gentlemen. Several speakers here openly said what it was about, not the fight against real crime – no DSA needed – but that Elon Musk was talking to Alice Weidel. This must not be the case, the citizen could make his own image and evade the constant propaganda of the state media. As we hear, there should now be a seal of democracy for elections or countries that are particularly diligent in censoring and monitoring. Without the seal, elections will be annulled, as in Romania or perhaps soon in Germany. This is Orwell pure. Please don't use the word democracy in your mouth anymore. They contaminate this term and don't even notice it. We expect nothing else from the left-wing extremists here. That the CDU, the EPP is taking part in this is your betrayal of democracy and Europe.

Mr President! Here in the European Parliament, all MEPs have to take mandatory courses against sexual harassment – men face a general suspicion. The relationship between the sexes has been systematically poisoned in recent decades, not least by such state measures. And that's why only radical feminists and ideologues can celebrate the 30th anniversary of next year's Beijing World Women's Conference. The 1995 Beijing Declaration laid the foundations for gender ideology and established gender mainstreaming for all areas of governance. top down This was then pushed through all over the world, making a mockery of democracy. What does this mean in practice? Systematic discrimination against men in state and even private job advertisements on the basis of the quota of women. Equality means equal opportunities. No. The official EU target indicators under the keyword ‘violence against women’ include domestic violence and harassment in the workplace, but not violence in public spaces. Let's say it quite frankly: This is mainly due to migrant violence. Two-thirds of women's shelters in Germany are occupied by migrant women. Asylum migrants are five times overrepresented in sex crimes. If we really want to protect women from violence and discrimination, then very different priorities must be set than woke radical feminism, which unfortunately sets the tone here in the EU.

Mr President! The European Green Deal is pure madness: The self-destructive program of an industrial civilization. The price of electricity per megawatt-hour in Germany has recently risen to an insane €800 – normal would be €8. And 1,200 billion would have to be invested by 2035, according to a study, in order to achieve the climate goals. And for what? For CO2-Savings that China alone has neutralized and surpassed in just a few months by constantly increasing emissions. After all, the Draghi report has recognised that energy costs in Europe are far too high. But his recommendations are unsuitable, because they amount to an even more planned economy and an increase in power in Brussels – but that is probably also the secret meaning of this policy. Finally, release the economy from the grip of a crazy world rescue ideology that makes a few rich while impoverishing Europe's countries and citizens. We also need Javier Milei's chainsaw in Europe, and the economy will recover quickly.

Mr President! You can't think of it: Yesterday, this Parliament applauded the annulment of the democratic presidential election in Romania. If the wrong candidate is ahead, who does not suit the EU elite, then he must obviously leave. We are on the way to a totalitarian system, ladies and gentlemen. And what is the rationale? Manipulation of citizens on TikTok by foreign agents. You don't trust citizens with that much judgment. They see the public as a manipulable mass. This is an oath of revelation. According to this logic, all elections in Germany would have to be annulled, because the state media manipulates there without end – nothing is done about it. But when a 14-year-old posts something patriotic on TikTok, the police are at his door in the morning. Where did we get to? And according to this logic, all elections could be cancelled at will. How can foreign influence ever be proven? Democracy means accepting the will of the people, even if it doesn't suit you. Respect that if you want to be called a Democrat.

Mr President! Fools and madmen, the re-elected US President Trump has called all those who claim that the world climate can not only predict, but also save. This means that everything necessary has been said for the climate conference in Baku. One trillion euros are to be paid annually by the industrialized countries to the countries of the South, where corrupt regimes and an armada of NGOs are fed by it. No wonder these people sing us the song of the climate apocalypse more shrillly every day. There is a lot to earn from it. And why all this? China, the largest CO2Issuer, does not adhere to the guidelines at all, and Trump has already announced the exit of the United States from ruinous climate protection. If the EU Commission believes it can save the global climate on its own, Mr Hoekstra, then it will end up like the climate-ideological Scholz government in Germany, which has just failed terribly. Finally, switch from unsuitable climate rescue to smart adaptation to natural climate change.

Madam President, The censorship is back in Germany, thanks to the Digital Services Act, drawn up by the Commission and approved here by this Parliament. Supposedly, society, especially the youth, should be protected from hate speech. In truth, it is about an unconstitutional suppression of unwelcome opinions that do not fit into the red-green and woken state ideology. So-called trusted flagger scour the Internet on behalf of the Federal Network Agency for socially harmful content, which is then deleted or even displayed. In dark times of our history, there was the ‘people's pest’; Today there is the ‘social pest’. They do not seem to have a problem with this totalitarian nonsense – the Nazis are always just the others. Madam President, It's always the same game: Every flood, every storm, every forest fire is misused to justify the economically disastrous climate policy. The natural climatic factors completely fizzle out the minimal effects of these measures. This is voodoo politics, ladies and gentlemen. Yes, there are forest fires in the Amazon, and that's worrying. But according to one study, 43 percent of fires since 2019 are not due to drought and climate change, but to deforestation and slash-and-burn, so stricter controls would prevent them. President Lula, who receives 200 million euros in aid from Germany alone, does the opposite. The destruction of the rainforest has increased under his leadership. What have the Commission and this Parliament said against Bolsonaro? To your left-wing friend Lula, you are largely silent and pushing for climate change. This is hypocrisy, ladies and gentlemen.

Madam President, ladies and gentlemen! I didn't want to believe it at first. If you, as a Member of the European Parliament, try to access certain critical news portals here in the European Parliament, you will see a message ‘This page is blocked for your protection’. We are treated here as underage children, freedom of opinion and freedom of the press are not protected, but trampled underfoot. In the same way, European citizens are patronised. Under the pretext of protecting us from fake news, the EU censors and criminalises unwelcome opinions. A press release from the Commission in June says it quite frankly: Alleged disinformation campaigns in support of Ukraine, the European Green Deal and migration will be fought above all. In plain language: In these highly controversial fields, one wants to suppress criticism, the propaganda should be able to unfold unhindered. Fake news and disinformation on the net abound, of course, but they come far too often from the government side and from the state media itself. Therefore, save your self-righteousness and paternalism and finally treat European citizens like adults.
