Madam President, I would like to make a reminder of the Rules of Procedure on the basis of Rule 10 on the rules of conduct concerning the holding within the European Parliament of the conference entitled ‘Racial governance of mobility in the European Union: Current realities and future prospects’, organised with the ENA, whose proximity to Islamist networks, and in particular the Muslim Brotherhood, is known and documented. Under the guise of fighting discrimination, this conference spreads a discourse of disinformation and defamation against European states, claiming that our policies of border control, mobility or security would be based on a racial and segregationist logic. The documents presented accuse France of religious stigma for having fought Islamist separatism and expelled radical imams. Yet Austria itself has taken measures against the Muslim Brotherhood to protect public order and national security. The aim of European and national legislation has never been to organise any kind of segregation. And a few days after the vote on a text calling into question the police forces, our Parliament is not intended to become a forum for complacent speeches with political Islamism.
