Speeches
Dear Mr President, I'm talking about my place. I agree that Member States should support the creation and growth of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, including by ensuring easier access to finance. This month, the Hungarian government announced its investment stimulus programme for small and medium-sized enterprises, under which it supports development projects with equity financing. They provide low-interest investment loans and export promotion loans. They help digitization with resources and reduce the administration of the small and medium-sized enterprise sector. I believe it is important to exploit the untapped potential of EU citizens with disabilities. Instead of immigrants, let us focus on workers with disabilities, as we can integrate millions of people into the labour market who speak our language and have the same culture. We must be chosen first! Nothing about us without us!

Dear Mr President, Housing support and affordable housing are important issues. In Hungary, we have not just started to make plans, but we can show serious results. Within this framework, the Family Friendly Hungary programme provides non-refundable support, preferential loans, interest rate subsidies and mortgage remission in the case of the purchase or construction of an apartment or house. It provides home renovation support, supports accessibility, and only 5% VAT is charged on the purchase of new homes. The Hungarian government has spent more than HUF 560 billion to support home creation, and we have the lowest household electricity and gas prices in the EU. There is still work to be done: Housing for young people should be encouraged. The government has announced that the professional programme is being prepared and we are happy to share our professional experience with you.
