The future of EU-US relations (debate)
Dear Chairman, colleagues, strengthening transatlantic ties is important for Europe and for the United States, and that is why I support this report. Still, the optimism and the rapporteur about the arrival of the new Biden administration reminds me of the arrival of Barack Obama to the reckless and undeserved award of the Nobel Prize and the unfulfilled expectations, and I remind you that TTIP also collapsed right around the time of Barack Obama. President Biden has made some very good decisions for the part of Europe I come from, but his overall foreign policy has so far not proved very successful. The biggest problem with this policy as well as the policies of European globalists is that they want to impose their worldview on other peoples, which is undemocratic and it is ultimately always unsuccessful. In any case, the European Union should not favour any US administration. It is not for us to judge the will of American citizens, but to adapt to it and find a common language with every American administration.
