Foreign interference and espionage by third country actors in European universities (debate)
Date:
28.11.2024 11:30
| Language: SK
Speeches
Mr President, I am sorry, but on behalf of young people and students, it literally insults me sometimes when you suggest here that those who are not progressive and iridescent are de facto under the influence of some foreign agents or hybrid operations. Quite simply not, many young people have reason, they have courage, they do not want to go with the flock, they do not want to support the war, they do not want to participate in training, where they are taught how to properly address people of some third or fourth sex. These people just have their opinion, and I don't think it's right to label them that they're all foreign agents now, or that if they're not, they're under the influence of some foreign agents. A much bigger problem than some foreign agents in universities, in my opinion, in schools is the work of NGOs, left-wing NGOs in schools that literally brainwash young people, teach them nonsense, teach them left-wing propaganda, left-wing ideology that is detached from reality, and do not prepare them for the real world, for the real values that people really need here to live a good and happy and happy life.
Rise of energy prices and fighting energy poverty (debate)
Date:
27.11.2024 15:57
| Language: SK
Speeches
Madam President, of course, at such energy prices, young people do not want to, but cannot afford to buy real estate, buy homes, start families or have children. Of course, older people then have trouble surviving from month to month and that companies are stagnating. According to the International Energy Agency, average energy prices in Europe are two to three times higher than in the United States. We have the most expensive energy in the world. And not because the energies aren't there or that they're running out, but simply because you're making senseless green choices, meaningless pushing. the Green Deal, senseless pushing of overpriced green energy and, for example, senseless anti-energy sanctions against Russia. Of course, there must be an energy crisis in Europe in such circumstances, but the energy crisis is not of itself. She didn't come by herself, my friends. You are the energy crisis that is plaguing Europe.
Georgia's worsening democratic crisis following the recent parliamentary elections and alleged electoral fraud (debate)

Speeches
Mr President, please, colleagues, stop moaning here. The Georgians simply did not vote for your pro-Brussels parties because they have common sense. Tell me who normal would voluntarily want your GReen deal? Who would want a voluntary ban on internal combustion engines or immigration quotas? Who would want 70 genders for school children? Or getting involved in a war against Russia? No one, of course. You're saying here that the Georgians were intimidated. You should have seen, my friends, the elections in Slovakia a few years ago, when your progressive colleagues called NATO military specialists to come to say that they were protecting democracy in Slovakia? No, my friends, you are not talking about democracy. You are simply concerned that the Georgians are protecting traditional values, that they do not want foreign Western NGOs on their territory, and that is why, with such politically motivated resolutions, you are trying at all costs to undermine another sovereign state and stir up another Maidan. But change is coming. She came to America, she came to Georgia, and I firmly believe that she will come to Germany and other countries of Europe.
U-turn on EU bureaucracy: the need to axe unnecessary burdens and reporting to unleash competitiveness and innovation (topical debate)
Date:
23.10.2024 13:37
| Language: SK
Speeches
Mr President, it has been said here that the European Union has adopted 13,000 regulations and regulations in the last five years. You absolutely all recognise that the European Union is losing competitiveness compared to America, China, the Russian Federation and the rest of the world. There is too much bureaucracy. Nevertheless, the European Commission's proposal is to introduce additional bureaucracy, no competitiveness test. At the same time, I remember how the ban on internal combustion engines was advocated here, when it was agreed that from the age of 35 electric cars would be mandatory, as we will all be super modern, super green, as we will live here as in some kind of Star Trek. The reality is that the car industry in Europe has been destroyed. And how mandatory gender quotas for companies have been approved here, how diversified we will be and how progressive I do not know: The reality is - another artificial quota. How was the seizure of anti-Russian or Russian assets to finance Ukraine approved yesterday? A message to the whole world that there is no point in investing in the EU, because if the Commission does not like a government in the world, investors will be deprived of their property. That is to say, the bureaucracy must begin, Commissioners, to be reduced, not added. That's the solution.
Establishing the Ukraine Loan Cooperation Mechanism and providing exceptional macro-financial assistance to Ukraine (debate)
Date:
22.10.2024 09:26
| Language: SK
Speeches
Mr President, we have another 35 billion for Ukraine. Europeans again: Pay, pay and pay again. Commissioner, you say that the European Union only supports projects that meet European democratic values. Please tell me, what values does the current Ukrainian government fulfil? This is the opposite of democracy. The most corrupt regime in Europe - it is so - has cancelled elections, abolished the opposition, banned independent media and minority rights, and yet more and more money is constantly being sent there. The Slovak government, the Slovak prime minister, recently announced that Slovakia is preparing a package of financial assistance for Ukraine. At the time when the government announced the biggest increase for the Slovaks. And exactly at the time when the Ukrainian prime minister on the same day told the Slovaks that Russian gas supplies have stopped for Slovakia since the new year. Like, what's this? What's this supposed to mean? And nobody's nothing. We're all sitting here pretending everything's okay, and endlessly just sending money that nobody controls. This really has to stop, colleagues, and the war has to end.
Presentation of the programme of activities of the Hungarian Presidency (debate)
Date:
09.10.2024 11:21
| Language: SK
Speeches
Madam President, I consider the priorities of the Hungarian Presidency presented here to be reasonable, and I must say that after the nonsense that we are hearing from Mrs Leyen, along with Mr Šefčovič and other colleagues, it is really refreshing to hear the voice of common sense at last in the European Parliament. Mrs Leyen, you should be inspired by Hungary, not trying to punish it at all costs, because the European Union really does not need more migrants, more war, more rainbow agenda, more bans on combustion engines. But it needs politicians, leaders who care about peace and Europe's prosperity. I would like to commend Mr Orbán on one thing: that, as the only European Prime Minister, he publicly opposed Ms Leyen's candidacy for President of the European Commission. I'm a little disappointed that the Scottish government hasn't joined in. If it were up to us, we would certainly support this position. And I want to encourage all Hungarians, as well as the Prime Minister, not to give up, not to give in to the pressure of liberals and, if necessary, to send those migrants on the buses of Leyen to Brussels.
The crisis facing the EU’s automotive industry, potential plant closures and the need to enhance competitiveness and maintain jobs in Europe (debate)
Date:
08.10.2024 12:59
| Language: SK
Speeches
Mr President, look, every time I buy a car, I buy either a petrol car or a diesel car, and the next time I choose a new passenger car, I just choose diesel again. Because I won't buy an electric car forcibly, which has a short range, which I have nowhere to charge, which I don't have time to charge and which won't work properly in winter. We are not against the sale of electric cars, but we are against mandatorily imposing electric cars on people. Citizens are against it, entrepreneurs are against it, even the automakers themselves are against it. The only ones who push this forward are the green fanatics from Brussels. For me, colleagues, go and run on horses, but stop destroying European industry, European carmakers. Commissioner, the ban on internal combustion engines from 2035 must be reconsidered, it must be abolished, and European carmakers must not be fined for the senseless green ideas invented here by colleagues who are completely, but that they are completely detached from reality.
The devastating floods in Central and Eastern Europe, the loss of lives and the EU’s preparedness to act on such disasters exacerbated by climate change (debate)
Date:
18.09.2024 09:34
| Language: SK
Speeches
Madam President, do you know how the European Union could best help with these floods? If she hadn't invented nonsense, such as mandatory electric cars! 'Cause I'd like to see those flashlight cars, those excavators and tractors of yours help in these current floods! Because yes, there were also suggestions a year ago that as part of the implementation of the Green Deal, you wanted to make electrification of the so-called Green Deal mandatory. heavy duty vehicles. This means vehicles designed for difficult conditions, such as tractors, excavators, trucks, trucks. Just nonsense, nonsense. However, as far as these floods are concerned, I have not yet received any specific assistance from the European Union. At the same time, this is precisely the area where common European solidarity, common European cohesion, could manifest itself. It's not just about helping immigrants fleeing Africa. Pay them for transport, pay them for accommodation, health care, then some social benefits or even pocket money. But now to the citizens of the European Union, the peoples of the European Union, with concrete measures, help to overcome the damage by contributing to tools or to the restoration of damaged dwellings. But that would have to be a little different for the leadership of the European Union and it would have to be interested in the problems of ordinary people, ordinary Europeans. Unfortunately, there is not yet much to thank the European Union for in this current crisis. But I also want to thank the rescue services from this place, which are actively helping. Thank you to all firefighters, all rescuers, police officers, volunteers, water managers, all citizens who are actively helping the people affected by the floods. Because they are the real heroes of today and they deserve our thanks. Finally, let me give you a brief thought. Today we are debating the point entitled 'Destructive floods in Central and Eastern Europe, loss of life'. Tomorrow, Dry as a threat to local communities and agriculture in the European Union is due to be debated in plenary. I'm sorry, but sometimes it feels like a TV show. Just choose your crisis. Once it's Covid, once it's war in Ukraine, then it's drought, then there's flooding. The important thing is that people are always afraid that there will be some alarmism. Even this debate. Many of you are exploiting the Green Deal, which actually causes more problems than it solves. And we simply disagree with such alarmism and call for a return to normal rational debate and a return to concrete help for citizens.
Continued financial and military support to Ukraine by EU Member States (debate)

It has been said on several occasions that the only way to end this war is, of course, through peace negotiations. This is what we want to support in order to start peace negotiations between the parties, between the Russian Federation and Ukraine, which was attacked by the Russian Federation in the framework of the so-called special operation. Because there's simply no other way to end it. I do not think that the Russian Federation will continue to attack the Western states. First, there is no objective reason for this either. Second, we have the North Atlantic Alliance and so on. But simply the scenario that has been there for the past two years, the constant sending of weapons clearly leads nowhere. That's why I think it's a dead end. I can't answer anymore.
Continued financial and military support to Ukraine by EU Member States (debate)

17.09.2024 10:35
| Language: SK
Speeches
Madam President, a new European Commission has not yet been elected, and the first point we have on the table is more money and more weapons for Ukraine. Not for Europeans, but for Ukraine. Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to ask you: How long do you plan to continue this escalation? Because it started with humanitarian aid, all right. But then came bullets, ammunition, rockets, tanks. Then came the F-16 fighter jets. Now comes the long-range missiles that will reach the Russian Federation. How many weapons? How much money? How many more deaths does this war have to bring to an end? Why are you so afraid to talk about peace? The future US President Trump, whom the so-called Democrats have repeatedly tried to assassinate, is already openly talking about peace. We do not want to leave our children, our grandchildren, a future full of weapons and war, but rather a future full of peace and well-being. That is why we simply cannot continue to support such an aggressive militant and war policy.
The attack on climate and nature: far right and conservative attempts to destroy the Green Deal and prevent investment in our future (topical debate)
Date:
24.04.2024 14:19
| Language: SK
Speeches
Mr President, for the past 25 years, Europe has been ruled by socialists, Christian democrats and, most recently, by progressives and liberals. And we see where you and Europe have gotten it with immigration, with price increases, with the Green Deal. You've failed at everything and yet you don't even have a pinch of self-reflection and you come to Parliament with a point called that an attack on nature, an attempt by the far right to destroy Green Deal and prevent investment in the future. I'm just amazed. It's like, now, all those farmers who are protesting against the Green Deal Are they the far right? All those citizens who do not agree with the destruction of agriculture, with the slaughter of herds of cattle, with emissions permits for households or with the ban on internal combustion engines, are they extremists? Do you ever hear how that arrogance and that feeling of superiority hit your head? I do not think that it is a threat to Europe are those people with common sense out there, but on the contrary, politicians disconnected from reality.
New allegations of Russian interference in the European Parliament, in the upcoming EU elections and the impact on the Union (debate)
Date:
10.04.2024 18:49
| Language: SK
Speeches
Mr President, some colleagues, that you are not ashamed at all, I ask you to make such serious accusations against some MEPs here, without providing even a single proof of some sort of bribery, because that has not happened here! Let's see what the problem is! The same applies to me. Do you know what happened? Do you know what happened? Journalists came from the portal and asked me, imagine, questions. And imagine, I answered them based on how politically I feel and what opinions I really have. This means that I believe that the war in Ukraine should not be prolonged. And this is the whole problem! This is a problem because someone doesn't like it. So I ask you the opposite: What solution do you propose so that this does not happen again? Should we ask and ask the secret services of individual states to check every single journalist, his property and his accounts before he asks us any questions? And then someone decides to which of them can we answer or to which of them can we not answer? Because it's easy to talk about some bribery and some propaganda. But when it comes to a solution or something, you're all quiet. It scares me what kind of world you want to introduce. And it scares me where all this can come from. Thank goodness this election is over.
EU climate risk assessment, taking urgent action to improve security and resilience in Europe (debate)
Date:
12.03.2024 17:32
| Language: SK
Speeches
Madam President, dear, progressive and rainbow green colleagues, please do not invent any more urgent last-minute action to save the world's climate, because you have done enough over the years. You have destroyed European farmers, you have destroyed the European economy. The European Union is losing its breath and poorly, not because of what China, the Russian Federation or America are doing or not doing, but because you are accepting nonsense here. Nonsense, emission allowances for cow farts, ground beetles instead of meat, shutting down power plants, banning combustion engines or banning cheap energy from the east. Of course, this will lead to a crisis, because nothing else can be expected of it. Even a small child understands this. So, Commissioners, there is no need for urgent action. On the contrary, after the elections, it will be necessary to start again, cancel the Green Deal and start with a truly professional, professional nature protection.
Report on the Commission’s 2023 Rule of Law report (debate)
Date:
28.02.2024 16:45
| Language: SK
Speeches
Mr President, I have read the European Commission's Rule of Law Report. Slovakia is mentioned 23 times in total, mostly in a negative sense. In your report, for example, you express deep concern about the actions of the new Slovak government to adopt regulations that would ensure the transparency of foreign-funded NGOs. So it is really a big problem for these organisations to be transparently funded. In Slovakia, you are also bothered by the cancellation of the Special Prosecutor's Office and the alleged lack of rights for the LGBT community. And the Slovak new government is even reproached with the intention to divide Radio and Television of Slovakia. But do you know what's most interesting? This report is for 2023, with all the failures mentioned therein dating back to 2024. Alleged failures. But the failures of the previous government in 2023 are not mentioned in one word. Also, the former government did not want to call early elections in Slovakia. This report is simply utterly purposeful and politicised. Written by the Brussels liberals against patriotic governments and not worth more than the price of the paper on which it is written.
The murder of Alexei Navalny and the need for EU action in support of political prisoners and oppressed civil society in Russia (debate)
Date:
28.02.2024 13:36
| Language: SK
Speeches
Mr President, I am watching with some admiration how the entire European Parliament turned into detectives who know exactly what happened in the event of Mr Navalny's death. Perhaps we agree that his death a month before the presidential election was not accidental. But I think we might have to wait a few more years for the real version of what happened. But I regret another thing. I am sorry that some of you did not pay the same attention when a former police president, General Lučanský, died in a Slovak prison under very similar circumstances and conditions. He also had a broken eye and a broken head. Then the authorities denied it and eventually found him dead. However, this did not matter to many in this hall at the time, because Slovakia was ruled by a government that was liberal and that was purely pro-European, without any self-confident ambitions. And I would ask you to do so if, in the future, this double image and this double standard were not present in the European Parliament.
Conclusions of the European Council meetings, in particular the special European Council meeting of 1 February 2024 (debate)
Date:
06.02.2024 10:14
| Language: SK
Speeches
Madam President, President Michel, I shall go straight to the point. The prestigious New York Times published a classified document claiming that the European Council was preparing an attack on Hungary if Viktor Orban did not vote for 50 billion euros in aid to Ukraine. In particular, an attack on the Hungarian forint currency, deterring investors, increasing interest on loans to Hungary and increasing unemployment, i.e. depriving people of their jobs, were to be prepared in the offices of the European Council. And I would like to ask you, Mr President, first of all, whether these are the new working instruments of the European Union? Extortion, threats, and then attacks. To me, more and more, the European Union is beginning to remind me of a Soviet politburo, where everyone who allows himself to express even a little dissenting opinion is being attacked. And I'd like to ask you to stop. Stop it, because in the end the whole of Europe will rise up against you, as farmers did last week.
Conclusions of the European Council meeting of 14-15 December 2023 and preparation of the Special European Council meeting of 1 February 2024 - Situation in Hungary and frozen EU funds (joint debate - European Council meetings)

17.01.2024 10:57

Speeches
Mr President, today is a really crazy day in the European Parliament. You want to take away EU funds from Hungary, and you want to defame Slovakia in the vote as a country with a history of hate crimes and murder of a journalist. And that's just because you don't like democratically elected governments in our states. You simply treat us in Slovakia, Hungary, Poland as citizens of the second category. You still want to teach us something, to impose something on us. And when citizens get fed up with it, you start threatening to withdraw EU funds or abolish voting rights in the European Union. But our citizens also pay taxes, from which this European Union is also financed. And, sorry, your ass. Our citizens also have the right to their own opinion and to their own lives. Therefore, I warn you, stop threatening Central Europe all the time. We will not be afraid of your threats. And if you want to investigate transparency and corruption, start here at the European Commission with President Leyen and her billion-dollar deals with Pfizer.
Keeping commitments and delivering military assistance to Ukraine (debate)
Date:
16.01.2024 11:09
| Language: SK
Speeches
Mr President, Commissioner Šefčovič is talking here about the need to increase military support for Ukraine. From the progressive benches, my fellow Members also say that even more powerful weapons are needed for Ukraine. You know, I sometimes feel like you're talking about it as a computer game. You press the button, you vote for more weapons for Ukraine, and then you read on your mobiles and watch how many people have died and how the front line has shifted. I understand that for some of you in the West it is easy to talk about the war, because it is Ukrainians, it is Slavs who fight the hated Russia. But you have to understand that this war is destroying Europe. And after two years, every normal person can see that war doesn't just have a military solution. It does not only have a military solution, because the Ukrainian counteroffensive has failed, the other will no longer be. A colleague here said that the Ukrainians no longer have enough troops, and simply sooner or later he will have to come to those peace negotiations. And that's what I'm appealing to us to stop being afraid to talk about peace and finally call for peace, and not just for more and more weapons.

Dear colleague, have you ever been in Slovakia? How much time did you spend living in Slovakia? What do you know about Slovakia, if you are lecturing or teaching us like this? You should better take care of yourself and your country.

My colleague, we had this on the pre-election agenda, for example, the abolition of the Special Prosecutor's Office precisely because of the arguments I have listed here. That is, precisely because the special prosecutor's office destroyed freedom of speech in Slovakia and completely discredited the fight against corruption, which no normal Slovak believes anymore. No one believes that Mr Lipšic is sincere in his fight against corruption. On the contrary, they all believe that it is a political revenge for the former opposition, but also for other citizens with different views because they dared not go with the mainstream and not go with the European Union. That's the whole reality.

Speeches
Listen, colleagues, especially from those liberal ranks. You come here and try to infiltrate Slovakia in front of the whole of Europe, that it is a mafia state just because it is not you who are in power. Because if you were there, I'm sure everything would be great, everything would be perfect, everything would be the best. The Special Prosecutor's Office in Slovakia is special only because it is political. She was politicised also under the former Special Prosecutor Kováčik, who is currently sitting in prison due to corruption, but much more politicised under the current Special Prosecutor Lipšic, who abused this office to fight against the then opposition. This institution is simply so irreparably corrupt, discredited, and rotten that I really don't see any choice but to cancel it and bring the investigation of corruption cases back to the normal Prosecutor General's Office as in any normal state. And don't go to Slovakia in front of the whole of Europe, because you're not in power. Fortunately, no one cares about this debate. I counted about 20 members here, including 14 Slovaks. So that's your voice in Europe. (The speaker agrees to answer the question raised by raising the "blue card")
Jurisdiction, applicable law, recognition of decisions and acceptance of authentic instruments in matters of parenthood and creation of a European Certificate of Parenthood (debate)
Date:
13.12.2023 16:52
| Language: SK
Speeches
Mr President, this EU-wide parental card or the European birth certificate that you are planning to introduce is nothing more than the exploitation of children to push the rainbow agenda. You claim that children have the right to parents and therefore all Member States must recognise homosexual unions entered into in other Member States. That's exactly what you're saying, but not just that. You go further and write in the regulation that the regulation must be flexible so that it also recognises non-traditional family constellations, including the legal possibility of having multiple parents, such as four mothers and twenty fathers. Who is being attacked by such nonsense, please? I'm really looking forward to the next European elections, when people will drive you out of here and we'll get rid of all this nonsense.
Proposals of the European Parliament for the amendment of the Treaties (debate)
Date:
21.11.2023 17:41
| Language: SK
Speeches
Mr President, I have read your proposal to change the European Union and I must say: That's pure madness. You write here that you want to abolish the right of veto and unanimity in the vote on key foreign policy and tax issues. This means that it is up to the governing parties in the largest European countries to decide everything. You further write that you want to strengthen immigration policy in order to uproot our identity. You write that you want to dominate educational institutions so that you can brainwash young people in schools and universities with a rainbow agenda. You want to take over, say you need to take over health competences so you can manipulate and scare people through fear for their lives and their health. You know what, dear progressive colleagues, thank you, but we do not want such a future, and as long as I am a Member of the European Parliament, I will never vote to limit the powers and sovereignty of my homeland and the citizens of the Slovak Republic, and we will always stand against those of you who want to limit democracy and the decision-making of individual Member States.
Fighting disinformation and dissemination of illegal content in the context of the Digital Services Act and in times of conflict (debate)
Date:
18.10.2023 19:14
| Language: SK
Speeches
Before the recent parliamentary elections in Slovakia, there was one very interesting discreet meeting. Representatives of the European Commission and the official Slovak government met in Bratislava secretly with representatives of Facebook, Google and TikTok, forcing them, under the threat of billions of dollars in fines allowed by this Digital Services Act, to limit the impact of opposition contributions, as they say the opposition spreads disinformation, propaganda and, overall, poses a hybrid threat to democracy. This act has only been in force for a few months and has already been misused for political purposes, for political struggle. So please don't pretend here that the aim of this act is to fight some disinformation. The European Commission simply wants to impose censorship and silence opposition views that it does not like, and we will always oppose that.
Mr President, when it comes to the effectiveness of sanctions, it must finally be said out loud in the European Union that the European Union's energy sanctions against the Russian Federation are a fatal failure, because they harm Europe more than Russia itself and all those who support them are co-responsible for the inflation and the increase in prices that both ordinary Europeans and ordinary people face. Otherwise, the same fiasco as energy sanctions was the European price cap on Russian oil, when the European Union and the G7 agreed that Russians must not sell oil for more than $60 per barrel. The reality is, yesterday I watched it on the stock exchanges, that Russian oil is sold for $75 per barrel and simply the whole world with the excuse of European price caps coughing. Look, I understand that the sanctions were supposed to weaken Russia and help Ukraine win, they were supposed to help end the war, but that just didn't happen. That is why, in my opinion, it is high time to lift those sanctions that harm Europe and help people live more easily.
