Reviewing the ETS system to support European competitiveness (topical debate)
Madam President, declining competitiveness is, in the long term, the main problem of the European Union, which is threatened by a deep decline that has already begun. It has a long range of causes. Most of them belong to the cluster of conditions for business. In addition to the declining number of skilled workers in the necessary structure, overregulation and burden of administrative burdens, these are additional complications on the own initiative of the institutions of the European Union. The worst is the project. Green Deal, which does not help nature, but destroys farming. One of the most significant burdens is the ETS, in particular the free trade of allowances. It is a criminal idea, it must be abandoned or fundamentally mitigated while there is still time. Draghi's report identifies a number of problems, but if he insists on achieving the goals Green DealOh, she's ridiculous. Any effort to remove obstacles to competitiveness, including the Conservative Group initiative, should be welcomed.
