The recent deterioration of the inhuman imprisonment conditions of Alexey Navalny and other political prisoners in Russia
This lies in the eye of everybody, but at the end she tried to get back on track so I think we can be a little bit flexible. To judge, it’s about all who are listening; and to decide what she’s saying is upon her.

President. – We are really good in time, so we have more than five requests for the catch-the-eye, but as we are good in time I can take them all. So be prepared.
Madam President, Afghan girls and women are living through a devastating nightmare: No access to schools, no access to universities, literally banished from the life of knowledge and education! A whole female generation in Afghanistan is threatened with social oblivion. The female voice of Afghanistan is suffocated by the Taliban. Women and girls are cynically, unparalleled and brutally destroyed. The Taliban's ban on training is devastating and unscrupulous. Let's do something, please! Every day we don't act is a surrender to the Taliban. Every day we don't act, we abandon the women and girls in Afghanistan. We now need a broad alliance for an Afghan online university. With Bachelor's and Master's degree programs, this online university offers Afghans the opportunity to start or continue their studies both in Afghanistan and in exile. Many Afghan university teachers had to flee and could continue teaching and researching at the online university. In doing so, we keep the window open for the young people in Afghanistan, for a self-determined and courageous perspective beyond oppression and hostility.

The establishment of a tribunal on the crime of aggression against Ukraine (debate)
Madam President, The atrocities of the Russian attackers must not paralyze us. We need international justice with enforcement. The hands of the International Criminal Court are tied because Moscow did not sign the Rome Statute. And in the UN Security Council, war criminals from Moscow sit at the table with the right of veto. The international community therefore needs a special tribunal modelled on the Yugoslavia Tribunal – not as an instrument of the West, not as judicial self-righteousness, not as victorious justice, but as an independent ad hoc criminal tribunal with an international bench of judges, in order to bring those responsible to justice and serve their sentences. Europe, Commissioner, must take the lead here, involve the UN, demonstrate international leadership, and promote the creation of a special tribunal. The signal to the world public is clear and unambiguous: Russian war criminals will not go unpunished. For impunity for this breach of civilization would be the most bitter defeat of the international community. Let the judiciary speak for justice and the non-forgetfulness of the victims of this unspeakable barbarism.
