Madam President, Madam President von der Leyen, the world has become anti-European, and we must accept that. Our main partner imposes tariffs on us by force, our political antithesis – China – takes advantage of our market to sell its industrial surpluses, but we take steps back. We must recover the epic spirit that led us to the joint purchase of vaccines during COVID-19. I will give an example with the new multiannual financial framework. First, it renationalizes the budget and common policies: that's a step back; Secondly, it delegitimizes the institutions, because it cuts regional cohesion and the aid that farmers and fishermen receive, and, without European policies, what is the European Union for?, and thirdly, is it not absurd that the Member States send an envelope with money to Brussels to draw up the European budget and that, once drawn up, another envelope with money is returned to them instead of common policies? Madam President, the violation of our airspace by Russian drones is the true state of the Union: There's no other. And tomorrow there will be no talk of another state of the Union. The time of furious giants we are entering, which is coming, will only allow Europe to survive if it behaves like a country; I mean, as one country, there's no other option. Congratulations on your speech. He knows he's counting on us. His fate will be that of Europe.
