Review of the Spanish Presidency of the Council (debate)

Mr President, even under the presidency of Spain, the EU was a disaster for its citizens. The sanctions against Russia caused further deterioration in living standards, a flight of industries from Germany and an economic recession. The rising migration caused more housing shortages, rising national debts and hate demonstrations and violence in our cities. National states, such as Hungary, did stand up for the interests of the citizens. Hungary and Slovenia prevented the corrupt Ukraine from getting 50 billion. Poland, Hungary and Slovenia are blocking the import of polluted Ukrainian grain. And Austria and Hungary oppose the accession of Ukraine, which will cost the citizen 189 billion. Citizens are fed up with this misery and show tremendous gains for anti-EU and anti-immigration parties. I recommend that the Council: Stop this disastrous European Union and let the Member States sign up to the BRICS, for peace and prosperity.

Fighting disinformation and dissemination of illegal content in the context of the Digital Services Act and in times of conflict (debate)

Mr President, immediately after the outbreak of the conflict between Israel and Hamas, Elon Musk's Commissioner Thierry Breton demanded that he combat disinformation about this on the social media platform X. This disinformation regulation is a totalitarian and paternalistic means of censoring unwanted opinions by imposing skyrocketing fines. Letting individual citizens censor without judicial intervention is the end of the rule of law and the end of democracy. The biggest spreader of disinformation for years has been the government that now sits on the court seat. Lies about mass immigration, about corona vaccines, climate change, nitrogen, Ukraine and now again Israel and Hamas. Criticism should be censored, no, this regulation should be taken off the table immediately. The Commission should first show the messages between Ursula von der Leyen and Pfizer.

European green bonds (debate)

Mr President, this proposal for European green bonds must go to waste. First, because the name misleads the buyer. Indeed, it seems as if they are EU-backed, covered or issued bonds. Conclusions of the European Council meeting of 29-30 June 2023, in particular the recent developments in the war against Ukraine and in Russia (debate)

Mr President, the head of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, is wrong. Ukraine is not a democracy. Opposition parties are banned, opposition leaders have been murdered, elections are a thing of the past. Ukraine is a country run by war criminals who set up combat positions in hospitals and schools, bomb apartment buildings and shopping malls, torture and murder prisoners of war, loot churches and imprison priests. Moreover, as this Parliament has stressed often enough, Ukraine is thoroughly corrupt. Zelensky and his clique lock hundreds of millions away from international aid. COVID-19 pandemic: lessons learned and recommendations for the future (debate)

Mr President, the lessons we can learn from the so-called COVID-19 pandemic are as follows. The measures supported by the WHO were completely nonsensical and had nothing to do with our health. The QR codes and access controls were great madness, because vaccinated with COVID came in, healthy unvaccinated were refused. The measures had disastrous consequences. EU Global Health Strategy (debate)

Both organizations are the largest private donors of the WHO. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Bill Gates earned almost half a billion USD from shares in big pharma. EU boss Ursula von der Leyen, whose husband is the director of a pharmaceutical company, has bought ten vaccines per EU citizen in a shady billion-dollar deal. So the only correct conclusion is that Member States must determine their own health strategy.

Mr President, with the digital euro, the ECB is focusing on the private market. It is the digital alternative to cash. At the moment, only the commercial banks spend money in book-entry form, and that is where the European Central Bank comes in. The citizen will soon have an account with the ECB, as in the past with the postal services, which were also owned by the state. And because the ECB cannot go bankrupt, citizens can be sure that their money is safe. This provides certainty in the event of major financial shocks. But it also gives the government tremendous power to control and force the citizen. The main concern of citizens is that in the future the government can limit what citizens spend their money on, such as meat products and fuels. Or that we have some form of social credit system It's like in Canada, where your account is blocked if you're critical of the government. Therefore, the digital euro should meet the following requirements: purchases must not be traceable to the product, the balance must also be directly withdrawable as cash and the balance must not be programmable. This must be laid down in law.

Conclusions of the European Council meeting of 23-24 March 2023 (debate)

Mr President, the European Council says in its conclusions that it is working towards a competitive EU. At the same time, he pledges 1 million pieces of ammunition to Ukraine and welcomes the EUR 10 million with which the European Union has purchased the arrest warrant for President Putin at the International Criminal Court. Not a word about the consequences of the sanctions that are followed exclusively by the West. Not a word about the bankruptcy of big industries and banks. Not a word about the financial, economic and military superiority of the Sino-Russian bloc over the G7. The European Council is well aware that without cheap Russian gas and good trade relations with China, there can be no question of the EU ever becoming competitive with anyone. That is why I call on the Council to take steps towards peace in the conflict that the West is losing, towards lifting the sanctions that are destroying ourselves and towards normalising relations with Russia.

Situation in Georgia (debate)

Mr President, this Chamber was shocked to the bone by Qatar's bribery of Members of this Parliament. Parliament called for immediate action. NGOs linked to Qatar had to be banned, as this Parliament rightly wants to avoid foreign influence. Meanwhile, the EU itself gives millions of euros to civil society organisations through the EU roadmap for engagement with civil society in Georgia, to influence the political and cultural course there. And now that the Georgian Parliament wants to pass laws to prevent foreign influence, this Parliament is shocked to the bone. Because now democracy in Georgia is supposedly in jeopardy. The hypocrisy is sickening. I say to Georgia: Do everything in your power to keep the EU out of the way, otherwise Georgia will only become a vassal state without identity and without sovereignty.

One year of Russia’s invasion and war of aggression against Ukraine (debate)

Ukraine has been shooting and killing Russian-speaking civilians in the east of the country since 2014. A year ago, Russia started shooting back to end this racist violence. Situation of fundamental rights in the EU in 2020 and 2021 (debate)

Mr President, the rule of law in the EU is rotten. Governments and the Commission are trampling on human rights. Democracy lies in the grave of the corrupt kongsi of the major political parties and multinationals. They play each other the money and the jobs. The people must open their eyes and deal with their enemies.
