The regulation adjusts the financial allocations of the Brexit Adjustment Reserve by reducing them by 584 million euros. This change aligns with the mid-term review of the 2021–2027 Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) in response to geopolitical developments. The goal is to ensure legal and financial coherence with the EU budget for 2025 while preserving previously disbursed or transferred funds. The remaining 3.4 billion euros will be distributed based on updated eligibility criteria. The amendment aims to provide clarity for member states regarding the remaining funds.
