The Rule of law crisis in Poland and the primacy of EU law (continuation of debate)
The Constitution is the highest law of the Republic of Poland. This is what Article 8 of the first chapter of the Constitution of the Republic of Poland says. According to the European Parliament, which again wrongly attacks Poland, is compliance with the most important Polish law a violation of the rule of law? Such reasoning is a dangerous precedent that can lead to the weakening of the community. The European Union is not and will not be a creation in which mainly two countries lead together with an army of broadcast officials. The European Union is made up of sovereign and independent states with their own culture, tradition and history. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said in his speech that "The European Union is not a state. The 27 countries are members of the EU! It is the States that remain the European sovereign – they are the ‘masters of the Treaties’ – and it is the States that determine the scope of the competences conferred on the European Union.” Only such an approach can stop the dangerous process of slow destruction of the EU! The misunderstanding of the rule of law by officials in Brussels and Luxembourg cannot be a way to attack sovereign states. Poland has always been a guardian of the rule of law. To those who do not remember it or do not want to remember it, let me remind you that we fought effectively for the rule of law against the Bolshevik storm that wanted to flood Europe, against the German occupation that wanted to colonize Europe. We have defended Europe against communism and are now defending the EU's eastern border against a flood of illegal immigrants. All in the name of defending the rule of law!
